Do you like Bluegrass music? My hubby was listening to Bluegrass the other day (while I had cotton shoved in my ears, lol) and he claimed that deep down, all good ol' Kentucky boys like it as well.

I have a couple questions for ya if I'm not being to personal. I was wondering if you hear certain frequency ranges better than others and if you signed or not.

Off topic-

I am totally deaf without my cochlear implant. Can't even hear my own voice or the dogs barking. Can be reeeeal nice, sometimes. But with the implant, I can hear voices again and even talk on the phone (although stressful). I have an amplifier on it too. But, music. Oh, it's depressing. It all sounds kinda flat. Sometimes, I can't find the melody. I wrote a blog about it all. Hubby got me a special Mp3 (?) and it has a (man, can't remember what it's call) but it blocks out background noise and I can hear music again with that thing on. It's heavenly! But, if a song is playing that I knew back in the late 60's, 70's and hubby will tell me what it is and start singing it, then my brain somehow kicks in and I can hear it! So, it's like that for the Grapevine! All those great oldies, I can "get it". I do miss music alot. I used to sing alto (harmony) in high school. Now, when I sing, everyone has their fingers in their ears!! Seriously! I'm always off key every "Happy Birthday to you!" But, I don't care, I belt it out anyway!

I'm taking my sociology class for the second time and again, it's so boring. I always wish forum members were in my class. It would be much more interesting.

Professor called me out and took me by surprise the other day. He was talking about his own opinion and life, as usual, referencing "young people working at Wendy's" and he looked at me and said, "that wouldn't be you."


My reflex reaction was, of course, a huge smile and my finger shot up. I almost gave him the finger in his face. I sit front row and center. But while I ponder later, I'm thinking maybe he expects more argument from me to maybe engage the class in some discussion that isn't zombie like in attention span. But why bother? Everything in classes is always so rushed and basic. We've only three classes yet! Let's get through one dozen chapters tonight! Meh, the money I put into tuition...
