Went to a drive in in DC in 1985, around Memorial Day. The old Woodies at Friendship Station had a drive in night and played the movies on the back of the main building. They only did it twice. "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" was one of the movies. They paid Cyndi Lauper for the song but I do not recall her in the flick. I think Sarah Jessica Parker, Helen Hunt, Shannon Doherty would deny being in it. But heck I am guilty for hopping in a car w/ a group of friends, and hanging out w/ Cyndi Lauper (her music) back in 85.

That band was very popular in my family! Good lord. I did an English report on that song! We were trying to understand the meaning of "balllad." I got an A, bitches. That was my example. Someone in my family had a license plate that said, "talk dirty." After they junked it up on their vehicle, it went in my school locker. Crap! My scanner doesn't work! I have that picture somewhere.

I would agree that the songs they play on the radio all the time tend to get old after a while, that's why you need the cds so you can listen to the songs that don't make on the radio.
