Same way I felt WVD. I hate when newspapers require you to register on their site in order to read a few crummy articles. I'll pass, thank you very much.

I read the article and it was disturbing, if only a little biased on the NYT's part. The article explained that in Japan immigrants aren't treated well, and that Japan needs immigrants because people there are growing old fast.

Exactly. We as a country are view from many other cultures as segregated and non integrated. Though, I don't know why people say these things when i see more and more acceptance in our country then many others.

This article was just one of many I've seen showing other countries that are like what we once used to be.

P.S.-I think it's nice for any paper to be free. NY Times asks for a free registration. I don't get any crap mail from them, and they explictly don't sell it to anyone else. Plus, the NY Times is one of the best sources of world and national information.

I've always felt that the reason so many countries don't like us is because they're jealous of what we have, freedom and everyone pretty much gets along with everyone. Look, at New York the city is full of immigrants, and they pretty much all live together peacfully unlike the Palestinians in Israel.

I mean that in any country or culture you're going to find someone being oppressed or discriminated against.It seems to be human nature to bully those weaker or different.
