I am new to the area and I do not know the day that the kids go out trick or treating can someone help me please huh.gif

Don't know, but most places are doing it on the 31st.

You can call the Greencastle/Waynesboro Record Herald at (717) 762-2151 and see if they know.

Do you or anyone else know why? It just seems odd its still a weekday. The only thing I could reasonably think of is its before the clocks get changed and would maybe lighter out?

Seems pretty stupid to me. As tatt noted, it makes little sense since it's still a weekday. Never until I moved to Wash Co did I see people changing the dates of well-known Holidays. Fireworks on just about every day other than the actual fourth of July, Halloween on days other than October 31st. What's next, Octoberfest in the steamy, oppressive heat of August? blink.gif (Oh yeah, they've done that too!) It seems to me they pull some seriously ignorant stuff in some of the communities around here. cool.gif

This just in. Christmas in the city of hagerstown will be held on Dec. 20th this year biggrin.gif New years will be on Jan.8th. No reason given but the mayor did say it had something to do with baseball in Hagerstown
