I'm confused -- again. huh.gif

Seriously!

Could you please explain the difference between this thread and what this poster is doing and the HCC computer clinic thread and what Tony C. is doing? blink.gif

Why is this poster relegated to the calendar but Tony isn't? ohmy.gif

For the record, I have nothing against either event.
Yossarian
Don't worry your pretty little head.

It's called selective enforcement.

And quit sucking on those sour grapes. It makes your face squishy.
Snoopy
Someone's gotta say it.

A for honesty. At least on this one.

D- for moderating. On this one.

Sour grapes can make fine wine.

Yossarian:

Maybe we could have a separate category to let local organizations publicize their events? I do check the little listings at the bottom, but it helps for me to read the individuals' descriptions of their functions. Believe me, I read all of them in the Sunday Herald Mail to find interesting things and appreciate hearing about what is going on in the area. We can't change peoples' political biases, but we can find interesting ways to support the community. Just a thought.
Yossarian
val, if you click on "calendar" on the main page of the forum in the upper right corner, and from there, in the calendar in the lower left corner to add new event, I believe you can post your events there. I personally click on the calendar to see if their is anything I might be interested in doing.

thanks.

You can publicize your events and give descriptions... smile.gif

...if it happens to be an event that the Moderators find acceptable! sad.gif ohmy.gif Try some non-Christian sponsored events -- they seem to go over better. biggrin.gif

SIUYOA, Yoss. tongue.gif

You can bi*ch about it all you want, but you know I'm right, don't cha? biggrin.gif Otherwise by now you'da printed out all the rules and your justifications for all that has happened so far to make me look bad and shut me up. But you can't -- cuz even you don't know the answers and cannot justify what has happened as being fair.

But for some reason you just can't come out of your comfortable mod relationship and work to get it fixed. That's okay, do what you want, but when I see something wrong and I see people and organizations like the HM acting like hypocrits, I call them on it. You would probably do the same if it weren't for your long-time relationship with your "baby" (this forum) and with certain individuals closely allied with it that clouds your judgement. It happens all the time - and you see it a lot in your job.

Don't look for me to "drop it". I'll keep poking and prodding as long as I see fit. I'll be as civil about it as you are. Heck, if Carville and Matalin can be married, and I can still invite my ultra-lib brother to my house for the holidays, we can agree to disagree on this and still be civil. But it takes two to tango.

You take this forum waaayyyy too seriously.
Why does this have to be a challenge to the Bill of Rights? It's an internet discussion forum for chrissakes. I see no issues for freedom of speech or anything else related. Our hosts let us get away with a lot as it is. Stuff posted on this board would not be tolerated anywhere else, other than perhaps on a privately run board.

Now if you were writing something factual in a letters to the editors format that you wished printed in the print edition of the H-M, then you have a "freedoms" beef.

And you're right, I consider this forum "my baby" - but no other comparisons being made.

We discuss a lot of things here, and if the editor's of the Herald-Mail have an issue with something posted here, I'll abide by their directions.

An internet forum is just not something to get all upset about -- especially where constitutional self-rights issues are concerned.

We'll continue to have our heated discussions, and our friendly discussions. I'll continue to treat you with respect (but don't expect me to agree with you on everything).

We've become good cyber-friends and I value that. But sometimes I just gotta look at your postings and shake my head.

Right back at 'cha on both points. biggrin.gif

And, on the latter point, it might even apply to one or fifty others on here, huh? Heck, I could say that about my Mom and Dad! laugh.gif
