Congrats to the Hulks for finishing the fall season UNDEFEATED and earning the title of Grand Champion of their division!
The coaches did a great job, the players worked hard, each one improved and the parents are the best fans ever!

Do they play in WAGS, NCSL, or the Region One Premier League?

I don't think any HASYL teams play outside the HAYSL league, B. I could be wrong.....
My daughter plays in WAGS through the Hagerstown Freedom.
Personally, we had a bad experience with the gal who was head honcho at HAYSL a few years ago, so we left that organization and never looked back. I'm not a fan of Silent Saturday and all that crap. We weren't allowed to say a word, not any encouragent or positive cheers or anything. That's not what Silent Saturday is supposed to be. It's a day to not give any coaching or direction. Saying, "Nice pass" should be allowed, but oh no, not here. There were other bigger issues that resulted from a tournament, but I won't even go there.
Anyway, webbie, good for your team....it's always great to have dedicated parents and volunteer coaches!

I skip Silent Saturdays! LOL
My kids have played in HAYSL off and on since we moved here. Overall our experience with them has been really good. I like the fact that it is not overly-competitive (usually, unless I am there! LOL).
We have had great coaches and good team players every season.

I was just being a tool. My daughter played for another WAGS club for several years. I was the team's webmaster and for one year, their Social Director. They won first place in their divison 4 seasons in a row and for a time, they won just about every tournament they entered, all up and down the East Coast. It was EXPEN$IVE, but we had an absolute BALL until she blew her knee out and had to give it up entirely. Eventually she had to have surgery and she never got back into it. Kind of sucks, because many of her former teammates were also in the ODP program and most got scholarships, a number of them to NCAA Division 1 schools.
Competitiveness can be a bummer if you lose all of the time I guess. My daughter was always one of the best players on her teams over the years and her club team didn't lose very often, but enough for me to know it's not the same. But winning is a lot of fun no matter where you play. Congrats, webbie!
Silent Saturdays, Sportsmanship Liaisons, and all of that nonsense are in my opinion shameful! Parents should know how and be able to cheer their team on in a positive manner, and should be able to police their ranks without interference from the league. There should not be a need for such idiotic rules that take the fun out of the whole thing. Just my opinion - I guess I'm a bit "old school" when it comes to that. But my daughter's teams got compliments for their positive cheering many times because we policed ourselves well and strove for a positive atmosphere - and I honestly think the positive atmosphere really contributed to their success - so maybe it's just that I've had too much of a positive experience.

for one year, their Social Director.
Yes folks, that's right ... can you imagine me planning parties, outings and various social events for a gaggle of preteen and barely-teenaged girls and their families? Might change the view some of you have of me. Maybe I'm not the dour, sour, preachy old fart you might think I am?

Wouldn't happen to the Bays, would it?

No and please let's not get into the game of trying to guess my identity again.
I post anonymously on purpose because it gives me the freedom to speak without reservation and often to overstate my case without fear of retribution, to see where it leads us. If everyone knew who I was and where I lived and who my children were, I don't know that I would even bother posting here and if I did, my posts would probably be so benign that you'd quickly tire of hearing from me.
But no it wasn't the Bays. Those were some of the happiest times of my life, though. We all just had a blast. Youth sports can be incredibly positive and rewarding experiences for the entire family, and they really help you develop a sense of belonging to the community at large.

Sorry, B, I wasn't trying to get at your identity. I post anonymously as well.
The Bays slaughtered our girls 13-1 and the coach was a total jerk. Rumor has it that the team draws players from PA, VA, and DE to the tune of several thousand in dues a year. When you mentioned how good the team was and how expensive it was, I automatically thought of the Bays. That's all....don't try to read more into it please.

Not the Bays, but in fact as good as or better than them on any given Sunday. They too drew from several different states. Which narrows it down way too much for my comfort. Our former team would likewise probably have slaughtered yours, but at least they would've been nice about it.
