I need to buy a new dress for DH's office Christmas party. He just started working, so I have no idea what type of atmosphere it will be. But his office is very small, they're serving dinner (at a local country club), and his company is very conservative.

They say you can't go wrong with the classic little black dress. I don't like the silver one. I think I just don't like silver in clothes or cars. Looks cheap or trashy. Like all those purses out now! Damn trashy silver crap!

Yeah... I was kinda hoping to break out of the little black dress thing and be different... though maybe this is not the event to stick out of the crowd. LOL It is safe, though.

On a side note: I think they did a study that found silver vehicles are safer--meaning they get into less accidents. The theory is that they're more visible.

You don't say what kind of position your husband holds. If he's got a competitive position (sales, for example), and you show up with the perfect body in a sexy little number, could it cause "talk" that could affect his ability to do his job?

Personally, I like the first one, but since you really don't know what you're walking into, I'd go for the red velvet one. But I'd buy the first one too, and wear it NEXT year. It's not like it's going to take up a lot of space in your closet....

The red velvet dress looks very nice and the black dress is probably the typical choice..... Just depends if you want to step outside the "typical" box!

#2 would be my bet.if it's well made you can use it again with different accesories.

#3 like i said,it's like evryone elses,but you could jazz it up with metalic shoes and bag and earrings(drop).
