1)All the way to the right at the top on the reply box is a red X.When you put your curser on it,it says"close all tags" And nothing happens that I can see.
Is mine not working? Is that why my color choices and fonts and such aren't working?

2)The little picture of a tree says"insert Image" and when you click on it a window pops up that says"type in URL"
What is that and what does it mean and how do you use it?

3) How do I use the: wrap in a quote option?

I think thats all for now. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

1) Close all tags refers to bold, italic, underline, font, etc. an open tag is the command to do one of those font enhancements, a close tag tells it to stop the enhancement. If you don't close tags, the command won't work. Experiment with it. You learned how to color text -- same principle.

2) The url is only if you find an image posted somewhere on the internet. Then you can imbed the picture directly in the response without having to attach the photo/image using the file attachment box below. If you find an image on the internet that you want to imbed in the post, go to the address bar, highlight the url (ex. http://www.image.com) right click, chose copy and then paste in the "type url" area.

3) don't know about the wrap in a quote thingy. never used it. Again, experiment with it and see what it does. This might be a good topic to experiment in.

3. The "wrap in qoute" is useful for quoting something that isn't a reply here. When you see somebody quoting a source, usually in the politics/current events area, and it's in a quote box, this is how it was done.

If you click the "wrap quotes" button, you'll get a pop up box. Enter the text to be quoted, usually cut/pasted from another site, and click OK. Voila.

I am having a hard time using the quote button. I press on the quote button under someone's posting that I would like to comment on, and the button just turns red. Nothing else happens. So then I scroll down to the last post and click on "add reply". Then I get a big mess in the large box.....all kinds of numbers and letters and, also, the post that I want to comment on. So, what I end of doing, is deleting everything except the line that I need. (notice my posts and you will see what I mean). Then, I put my comment underneath and press submit reply (or something close to that). But, I never get the wrap around box with the other person's post . What am I doing wrong? Thanks so much.

It's easier just to use the "reply button, that quotes the whole post. The "quote button allows you to quote multiple postings in the same reply.

I was having a problem with the quote also .I mistakenly thought I was credited with someone elses post.It got a little confusing when there was many quotes so I was doing a lot of editing & apologizing .

I agree it is easier to just use the reply button.I was wondering what I was doing wrong.
