I just had this conversation last week with a young man at a party we went to at his house in H-town. He had just finished building one that day that was right up against his fence. I don't want to get him in trouble so I won't say what section of town he lives in, but when I asked him what the permit requirements were he was clueless. He had no idea you even needed one.

He looked like he was gonna freak out when I told him that in Smithsburg it has to be 10 ft from the property line if it's a concrete floor and you need a permit if it's over 200 sq. ft. I think he was more worried about his wife finding out than the city. laugh.gif

His was only about 8 x 10 with a plywood floor and another person there was pretty sure that it was ok, though he didn't know what the exact rules were. I felt better anyway that I didn't ruined the poor guy's party.

You might be able to find out online, I assume they have a webpage. Good luck.
