The Bubble has burst ....

Thursday night, Mercersburg Academy loses to Blair Academy, 69-50 .... double-whammy -- the loss left the two in a tie for the league title ... Now, Mercersburg goes to Montrose christian on Saturday.

Another note of interest, but unfortunate for Jefferson ...
Thursday night, the Cougars were supposed to play Reserve Christian of Louisiana in the first round of the Mountain State Classic in Beckley, WV. However, Reserve could not leave the state because of the recent tornado problems .... Last minute substitution you ask? Jefferson had to play the No. 1 team in the country -- Oak Hill Academy. Final -- Oak Hill 116, Jefferson 38 ... jefferson had brief 5-2 lead ... Played again without Josh Brown, and of course, you all know Vance Hosby is gone because of academics.

ouch for jefferson there for sure. the loss to blair isnt too surprising. i know some people who went and they said that they couldnt hit water if they fell out of a boat that night. plus blair has played a killer schedule and so are much better than the record would show. did jefferson play again or was that it for them in the tourney?

Jefferson lost to Parkersburg South 81-64 Friday in the Coal Classic. Bad day all around for the Eastern Panhandle Schools. Martinsburg lost to Wheeling Park 82-67, a team that they beat in a holiday tournament earlier. Also, Faith Christian was beaten by Heritage 65-40.
