The Dallas Cowboys have signed Terrell Owens to a 3 year deal. This was not a big surprise after they cut Keyshawn Johnson. Being a Cowboys lover and T.O. hater, I'm torn. I just hope he brings more good than harm to the team. Not that it's that big of a risk. The 'boys couldn't get too much worse.
Link to story. On a side note, the Deadskins have had another solid year in the free agency market.

It's tough to find someone who likes T.O., but I *think* he will work with the Cowboys. He has an incredible individual talent, but I'm not too sure he and Bledsoe will work too well. The Redskins again scoured up several big name free agents, and they should be the legitimate threat to win the NFC this season.
My Dolphins picked up Culpepper who will help them, but I hate his little arm roll TD celebration. I still like Ricky Williams and I'm hoping he wins his appeal because he is such a bargain RB.

What's the timetable on Culpepper being back to 100%? That was any ugly knee injury he suffered.

I think it was a great move but I did hate to see Keyshawn go. I predict TO will be a model citizen for Parcells. That SB performance convinced me. For him to come back from that injury and play like that was unbelievable. Maybe the best individual performance I've ever seen. On par with what Emmitt Smith did in that regular season game against the NYG at the Meadowlands in a game the Cowboys needed to keep their SB streak going.
What TO said about McNabb was absolutely right. McNabb and Ried both choked in that game and I think he decided right then to get out. The holdout and renogotiation demand was just a way to do it. That's why you have Rosenhaus, it's his specialty.
They still need a right tackle though.

Let the implosion begin!!!! Bledsoe and T.O. will be at each others throats by game 6 and Parcells will either have a coronary or kill T.O. by years end! Bad move and even worse contract!!! what was Jones thinking giving him a deal with no escape or behavior clause? Thats just bad business

I disagree. A jerk of his magnitude can only hide for so long -- T.O. will be himself before year's end, IMO.
My "Skins are looking better -- they needed a receiver badly to move forward.

I may regret this prediction later, but here are my reasons why this is going to work.
- The problem with the Eagles was over money. The Cowboys are paying him what he wanted and, if he makes the incentive clauses, more than that.
- Bledsoe is not the team leader and locker room "big dog" that McNabb is. Bledsoe is just thankful to still be a starting QB in the NFL.
- Parcells is one of the handful of coaches in the league that can conceivably keep T.O. in check. Andy Reid is not on that list. Mariucci ain't on that list either.
- Parcells has experience with high profile receivers that act like a-holes. Remember Keyshawn Johnson? He was the original "throw a hissy-fit and be a cancer to the team" receiver to get suspended for most of a season (with the Bucs). He kept his cool in Dallas for the most part.
- If T.O. blows it with Parcells, it's over for him as an NFL commodity. He has to realize that.
- Last time I checked, the Eagles were in the same division as the Cowboys. Revenge is strong motivation for Owens. I can't wait to see him catch a TD and run to the Eagles emblem at midfield.
So there. You doubters can stuff it!

I'm anxiously awaiting my next Dallas Cowboys Weekly to see what their take on it is.

The problem with the Eagles was over money--I don't think so, or at least not entirely. What about his constant explosions with McNabb on the sidelines, in the locker room, or the fight? What about his public display over the way the Eagles handled his big touchdown reception record? T.O. is a good football player with a bad head. He has been trouble for several teams, and I doubt his stay with the Cowboys will be any different.

None of which would have ever happened if the Eagles would have paid him what he wanted. Everything else happened after he didn't get his money. And by "everything else" I mean the off field BS. On field explosions between players happen on every team.
Maybe he would have been problems even without the money beef, but money started the problems with the Eagles. I'm not saying he was right for wanting to renegotiate, but it all started with money.

Me, too, so we can see his butt get creamed! Hope it is preseason when it happens.

At least you'll have something to look forward to.
Dan Snyder has signed more primadonnas, rookie flops, gimmick coaches, and blown more money than every other owner combined. And every year starting about this time all you hear around here is how much the Redskins have improved their roster and are going to the super bowl. That lasts until about the middle of October and then we start hearing who's to blame.
If he had the cap room he would have been following TO around in his limo for the last 4 months, instead of going after Brandon Lloyd and Antwaan Randel El.
I'll bet you ____ (fill in the blank) that the Cowboys will finish ahead of the Redskins this year and I'm willing to let the SMan hold the money.

That shot George Teague put on T.O. after he went to the Cowboys star was priceless. I could watch that clip all day.

Sorry to see LA get cut, but he had a good run. He'll be in the ring of honor. It's was a great trade to get Vanderjagt for 3 years. I can't think of a kicker they've ever had in that class.

T.O. will be good this year and then start sllipping next year when someone gets a bigger contract than him. Now don't disrespect Randel El. Randel El is the real deal and will have many big days in Washington. Before you say that is wishful thinking of a Redskin fan sorry too dissapoint I am nto a Skins fan although I respect Joe Gibbs.

Don't like TO, don't miss him. He's in the wrong sport, IMO. His heart is in basketball anyway... the NBA is a perfect fit for someone with his ego and flawed personality.
I'm not a Panthers fan, but they made a huge move signing Keyshawn. They now have two Pro Bowl caliber receivers... and Smith will probably even have a bigger year now that teams have to watch Keyshawn too. If they can get a consistent ground game going, they're going to be a huge threat in the NFC. I like Keyshawn, and I'd rather see him get a ring over TO any day.
TO is a great receiver, but his size and strength are his gifts. He isn't the gifted playmaker that Steve Smith is or Jerry Rice was.

Size and strength are good gifts when it comes to football.
But I know what you mean, Steve Smith is awesome. I was glad to see Keyshawn go to the Panthers and I'd be willing to bet that Parcells set him up with Dan Henning.
If
this is true then it looks like the Drew Henson experiment is over. He's auditioning in Europe for a job.
