Anybody know anything about where to get skeet shooting lessons in Hagerstown??

I want to find a hobby for my 16 yr old and I to do together and I have always thought skeet shooting would be fun.

I have no rifle. So would need to rent one with the lessons. Any idea on the cost?

Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

Other hobby ideas a 16 yr old might enjoy in case he doesn't enjoy skeet shooting.

- girl watching
- lockpicking
- beachcombing
- girl watching
- treasure hunting
- wine making
- girl watching
- rocket building
- start a band
- girl watching

You could even combine them.

For example... girl watching, beachcombing, wine making and starting a band all go very well together.

Yeah, Phluux,

He's already got alot of those hobbies down! rolleyes.gif I don't know why, but he just wouldn't go for taking ballroom dance classes with me! J/k Although I would LOVE it if he would. He's a good dancer. Hubby can't dance. At least, not ballroom dancing. Oh well.

Now, he tells me he wants to golf, too. Oh no. If there is anything that seems more boring to me, it is golf. I even hate miniature golf. But, I told him that we would start by going to hit some balls at one of those places in Hagerstown. I can handle that. I have no clue how you play golf, but he has played with friends. So, I guess I'm gonna have to learn golf. Why is life so hard??? laugh.gif

PS. Thanks mstubble for the info. I am still going to try it. May be doing it on my own. But, I really like it. Have not done it in many, many years. But, enjoy shooting.

oohhh there is nothing more fun than whacking a bucket of balls out at Family Rec! It's a great way to blow off steam as well!
One of my first jobs was a mini-golf/driving range attendant at Family Rec. I had so much fun working there! biggrin.gif

Time: 8 Minutes Past 10
December 14th, 2006 — E@zyVG

10:08, 8 minutes past 10, is roughly the time to which analog watches are set in most advertisements, though actual times shown vary between about 10:08 and 10:10. There are several reasons offered by watch companies, many of them psychological, and none of them verifiable as the actual origin of the practice:

* The position of the hands does not obscure the date on watches with a date function at 3 o’clock or any other functions at 9 or 3 o’clock.
* The position of the hands does not obscure the company logo, which is often printed under 12 o’clock. In fact, it highlights the logo by underlining it and placing it at the center of the delta formed between the clock’s hands.
* The hands are nearly symmetrically balanced on the face of the dial at 10:08. The minute hand is 48° right of vertical, while the hour hand is 56° left of vertical. Exact symmetry would be achieved at 120/13 minutes past 10:00, approximately 10:09:13.8. Other symmetrical times would not meet the needs above.
* The form of the hands has a positive effect on the viewer: the short hand pointing at 10 o’clock and the long hand pointing at 8 minutes is reminiscent of a check mark, which commonly means “ok” or “fine.” Some observers further identify this appearance with a smiling face.

Oddly enough, 10:08 is also the time at which a 12-hour digital display will have the maximum number of digit “segments” turned on. However, digital watches in commercials are more often set to 10:58. Early (mid-1970s) LCD clock ads would often show 12:08, which has a large number of “on” segments (one less than, oddly enough, 10:08), showcases four different digits, and is not 10:08—a virtue in its own right, as digital clocks were marketed as a break with the past.

Pics from the zombie movie:

Just after my makeup was done.

I was squirted in the eye with blood throughout filming. This is what I looked like at 7:30am when I finally got home.

I was also in some shots as a normal human. If any of my footage makes it in the movie Ima look like a total dork. biggrin.gif

Don't worry General, I'm sure they'll eventually have a Nobel War Prize. We all know who would win that. rolleyes.gif

This lady has the best attitude about the Nobel prize.

QUOTE
Lessing shrugs off Nobel win

‘I'm 88 years old and they can't give the Nobel to someone who's dead, so I think they were probably thinking they'd probably better give it to me now before I've popped off.'

RAPHAEL G. SATTER
Associated Press
October 11, 2007 at 4:31 PM EDT

LONDON — Doris Lessing pulled up in a black cab where a media horde was waiting Thursday in front of her leafy north London home. Reporters opened the door and told her she had won the Nobel Prize for literature, to which she responded: “Oh Christ ... I couldn't care less.”

...

Surrounded by members of the international media in her flower-packed garden, Ms. Lessing was dismissive of the Nobel — calling the award process graceless and saying the prize “doesn't mean anything artistically.”

She acknowledged the $1.5-million cash award was a lot of money, but still seemed less than thrilled.

“I'm already thinking about all the people who are going to send me begging letters — I can see them lining up now,” she said. The phone in her house, audible from the street, rang continuously.

sweetliberty2u
Who knows, it's been gone for about 2 days. I do believe.

Maybe someone just don't want Chatting, going on in the Shoutbox.
That's pretty much what's been going on, since Yoss isn't a Mod anymore.

I did post the Chat Room, that Yoss made awhile back.
Lucky I save the link, because it's no longer under Washington County.
I believe it's been deleted, there was a link under Yoss signature. That's not there either.
Yossarian
I figure there's two possibilities why the shoutbox is gone,

It either got too Rowdy,

or,

Webbie's trying to fix the slow loading times for the forum. I think the shoutbox is a resource hog and perhaps slows the site down.

BREAKING NEWS...

This just in... The United States Supreme Court in a surprise vote of 5 to4 has declared George W. Bush the winner of the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize. In making their decision the high court ignored the fact that they have no jurisdiction over the Norwegian Nobel Committee. Justice Samuel Alito, writing for the majority, stated that "allowing Al Gore to win the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize violates the spirit and intent of the Equal Protection Clause of the United States Constitution."

Feel better now guys?
