Perhaps we can use this topic to post all the stuff that we really don't want to start a thread for, or stuff that is perhaps too long for the shout box.
Kinda the way the off-topic thread was heading.

Our first H-M Fest was a rousing success tonite. Many new friends were made and funny stories exchanged. Plus we got to see each other in person. Beautiful people all. We even ragged on the people who weren't there. Plus, hello to the guy sitting at the bar that wouldn't come over and introduce himself...

I was so nervous and fidgety. And if I was scared of you, I wouldn't have hugged you, twice even. You're the only one that really hugged me back.

Everyone else did the polite embrace thing.
I went home and had more to drink.

Now my belly hurts and I'm hungover.

We assume H-M picked up the entire tab for this soiree since it constituted a Forums focus group and thus qualified as a legitimate business expense.

just a quick google on "dandelion greens" came up with this
The name dandelion comes from the French dent de lion, meaning "lion's tooth," a reference to the jagged-edged leaves of this noteworthy weed that grows both wild and cultivated. The bright green leaves have a slightly bitter, tangy flavor that adds interest to salads. They can also be cooked like spinach. The roots can be eaten as vegetables or roasted and ground to make root "coffee." Though they're available until winter in some states, the best, most tender dandelion greens are found in early spring, before the plant begins to flower. Look for bright-green, tender-crisp leaves; avoid those with yellowed or wilted tips. Refrigerate, tightly wrapped in a plastic bag, up to 5 days. Wash thoroughly before using. Dandelion greens are an excellent source of vitamin A, iron and calcium.
http://allrecipes.com/advice/ref/ency/terms/6201.aspheres a receipe
Dandelion Greens (Pioneer Recipe)
* 2 lbs. fresh dandelion greens
* 2 cloves garlic
* 2 T. oil
* salt and pepper to taste
The small young leaves are the most tender. Larger, older leaves are bitter. Clean and wash the leaves. Do not eat the stem or the flower. Cut the leaves in half. Heat the oil and garlic in a saucepan. Add the leaves, salt, and pepper. Cook about 12 minutes or until tender. Add water if it gets too dry. Serve hot.

I'm thinkin that my neighbor(growing up) used the same bacon dressing for this as she did for the spinach salad. check a
Betty Crocker cookbook for that dressing.I think it's in there.

This sounds good:
Wilted Dandelion Greens with Hot Bacon Dressing
1 pound dandelion greens
1 small red onion, thinly sliced
4 strips of sliced slab bacon
2 teaspoons dark brown sugar
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Wash the dandelion greens thoroughly, spin them dry, and place them in a glass salad bowl. Peel and slice the onion, separating the slices into rings.
Cut the bacon into l-inch pieces and fry them in a heavy skillet until they are crisp. When they have rendered all of their fat, pour off all but 1 tablespoon of the bacon drippings, return the skillet to the burner, and rapidly stir in the sugar and the cider vinegar.
Adjust the seasoning and pour the hot dressing over the greens and onion. Add the salt and pepper and serve immediately.
Serves 4

You people are goofy putting stuff
ON the grass to make it grow just to be able to mow it
DOWN again

! Who ya tryin to "keep up" with? It's grass for pete's sake! And why do you want to give everybody the impression that your place is so perfect? I have never understood this! It's grass. It
WILL grow again and it will reseed itself.
