The only one i know of that is a total log home builder is in Deep Creek Lake.
(Mountianeerlog homes).

Thanks everyone for the information. I would like to here any thing that people have heard POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE about log homes. I here alot of people talk about the upkeep of the wood but I can't imagine it being any different than having a wood home or cedar shingle home. Of course you don't see many of them either and that could be the reason. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Hagopinion,
There is alot of up keep to a log home.I have a friend whom i`v helped build one.
It`s not easy to build your own. A log home on Neck road outside of wiliamsport had so many bore bees that he had to brick over it.( True) you have to treat the wood logs the same as you would to a deck ever so many years. After awhile it would be boring seeing the same ole wood walls and not being able to change a color. But you can drywall inside walls of your choice. O ne good thing about log homes is they are easy to heat.
