I will not see this movie because it will be a total fabrication and the movie will most likely be based on the official account, which is fiction. But, at the same time, I am interested in comments by people who DO see the movie so that I can verify what I'm right about and to admit what I was wrong about. I'm predicting now that I will be wrong about very little , or nothing. Will the movie include reports of Flight 93 having a bomb on board and landing at Cleveland Airport? Will it mention the 8 mile long debris field it left after it was shot down? Will it mention that the plane crashed at 10:06 and not 10:03? (These 3 minutes are vital because these 3 minutes probably include recordings of the passengers saying that THEY--the PASSENGERS had control and were flying the plane). Will it mention that NORAD originally claimed that Flight 93 was hijacked at 9:16am when it was REALLY hijacked at 9:28 according to the 9/11 commission---but since the 9/11 commission is total fiction, 9:16 may very well be the true hijacking time. Will it mention that United Airlines dispatchers were told NOT to tell their planes that other planes were crashed in to WTC? Will it mention that TWO of the passengers on Flight 93 was a pilot and the other a pilots assistant? (this is my reasoning for saying the plane was being flown by the passengers). Will it mention a passenger named Tom Burnett saying one of the hijackers had a gun? Will it mention that the FAA Headquarters was notified of a bomb on board Flight 93 at 9:34am but NORAD was not notified of this? By 9:39am, NORAD still not notified of bomb. (these are VITAL minutes that could have saved lives). NORAD still not told of hijacking at 10:03. Will it mention witnesses seeing Flight 93 flying erratically and making noises at 10:06am? ill it mention witnesses around the crash site seeing falling debris from the plane? Will it mention Rumsfeld saying ".......the plane shot down in Pennsylvania"? Im sure it will include NONE of these facts, but maybe by some amazing miracle, they may mention 1 or 2 things i listed. Keep me informed.

Assuming? All those facts were from major media news sources!!! Where did u move this topic to?

Critics corner.

I'm not disputing your "facts" simons, I'm merely remarking on your assumptions of a movie that no one has yet seen.

Yes you are disputing my FACTS when you put FACTS in quotation marks. Would you like to me to give you the actual news sources and the DATES they were reported from? The FBI doesnt even refute the debris field!! They just said the parts "blew away"----LOL, yeah, they blew 8 miles!! What takes more faith? To believe giant plane parts blow 8 miles away, or to say it was shot down?

Put the goddamned topic in something where people will SEE. Put it under NEW TOPIC or under politics on the very first board where people will see it, or are you AFRAID the facts I present are getting out? You just love to silence people you dont agree with. I dont know who the hell you are but I will find out and Im going to put a stop to you picking and choosing what people read and want to respond to. You know damned well nobody sees critics corner. It must be a new category because mine is the ONLY post in the whole damed thing! Now put it back where I had it!

Get over yourself and seek some anger management therapy. laugh.gif

The facts you provide (some of which are proven facts), only support the THEORY that the plane was shot down, not the fact that it was.

theory != fact

This isn't Farenheit 911. This movie is supposed to give you a sense of what the passengers and their families went through that day, which, regardless of whether the plane was shot down or not, must have been horrifying and heartwrenching.

Here's a review for your reading pleasure... 94% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, I plan on seeing it.

rolleyes.gif is that a tiny little foot I hear stamping?

The topic of YOUR thread was about a MOVIE,not the actual crash and/or flight and any facts surrounding it. geesh. You want people's opinions and critiques of a MOVIE,so your thread was moved to the Critic's Corner.
Also, there are more threads on this board than the Washington County thread. wink.gif
Now stop throwing your hissy fit,or I'll send you to your room without supper! mad.gif tongue.gif

Sheesh, everyone's a critic. rolleyes.gif

Simons it's a movie. As you said, you doubt very much it will portray the facts as they happened. I debated on putting this topic in current events.

But since it's a movie, and not a documentary, i decided to put the topic where it is. The most appropriate category on this board.

It certainly has nothing to do with Washington County.

And please control your anger on here. And your language.

Yes, there's also the theory of relativity, evolution and a myriad of theoretical concepts. Should these be pooh-poohed and shrugged off as you seem to do with the theory that this plane, based on the facts, was more than likely shot down? There should be a REAL investigation into this event. Yes, I agree this movie will have dramatic elements that deal with gut-wrenching, emotional events outside of the realm of fact vs. fiction. It's just hard for to cozy up to the fact that the government has put one over on us and this movie galvinizes that deception in the minds of the people who will see this film. Oh, and I agree with Simons, this topic will get alot more debate and fervid discussion if it was moved to politics or opinion or something. Isn't that what these forums are for?

We don't place topics according to where they will get the most exposure. We have an orderly system for a reason. If members would post their threads under appropriate topics in the first place, then a mod wouldn't have to come along and take care of it for them.

This forum is, of course, for debate and discussion, however it is not here to cater to any one person or group. It's here for all to enjoy thus the reason for organizing it into such a manner that allows people to decide for themselves which areas they are interested in reading.

Snoopy--

You sound like a realist.

Poor Simons---someone get him a margarita & some chips! CHILL DUDE!!!

The movie is not about the alledged facts or nonfacts or whatever. It is about the emotions this event in our history brought forth. And honoring(I hope--I have not seen it yet) all those fallen...

I have not seen it either, but if the movie is to honor those fallen then it had better tell the truth.

For being in a low traffic area where no one will ever see it, this post sure was pretty hot today. The glitches around here are crazy too! Somehow this thread used to be the only one in the movie thread and, ohmy.gif all of sudden another one popped up out of nowhere with over 100 replies and 15,000 views! Oh. My. Gosh.

ok, every body... don't go nuts.. Lets discuss the movie on this thread

and the conspiracy on this thread

This is off topic, but since the topic of thread exposure came up in here, I want to give a tip. Instead of bookmarking the main HM Forums page, set your bookmark to link to the "Today's Active Topics" link at the bottom the main page, just above the section that tells you who's online.

When you link to this it only gives you the active topics of the day (or week/month if you like) from all the different forums. This saves you from having to scroll through each one individually from the main page to see if there's a new posting. Any new post from any category is displayed.
WVDragonlady
OR you can click on "View New Posts" at the top of the page beside the "My Controls" feature. wink.gif
SMan
Yep, that works, too. My only problem with that if I leave here without reading something and come back, the board assumes I've read everything and then doesn't display any threads when I return through "View New Posts" link.

I saw United 93 this weekend. It was pretty much what I expected... a very heartwrenching view of what happened that day. They do a fantastic job of re-enacting all of the confusion between flight control in various airports, the FAA, and the military/NORAD that must have been happening. Although the purpose of the movie is definitely focused on the more personal aspect of 9/11, some of the questions simons brings up are addressed in the movie as well.

Not much else to say, you all know what happens.
Unbelieveable
Simons,

You seem to have some mager issues with anger, i find your post very inappropiate. You demanding the Moderators to put your thread where you want it, you act like a two year old throwing a fit, i seriously feel sorry for you!! FACT

As for the movie. Don't think i will ever tell you anything about it, as i see it get of your butt and go see it yourself.

As for your potty mouth, clean it up fast.....................

there just might be somthing to all this, its worth checking into.

What I don't understand is why people are having a cow that it's too early to make this movie and how wrong it is that people are making money off of it.

If it's too early for you to see it, then don't see it. Why insist that it's too early for everyone else?

And as far as the money, I just want to ask those people how much money they gave out of their paychecks and then tell them it wasn't enough.

I want to see this movie. I just know I'll cry through the whole thing. My parents described my reaction to the true events as strange and over-emotional. I thought the general population was morose, weepy and glued to the TV also?

I want to see this movie. I just know I'll cry through the whole thing. My parents described my reaction to the true events as strange and over-emotional. I thought the general population was morose, weepy and glued to the TV also?

I remember watching everything unfold. I was working from home freelancing on a 6 month contract, when my mom called me in the morning to tell me a plane hit the WTC, so I got up and started watching CNN. Pretty much stayed glued to the TV the next few months. I was like a human newsfeed.

The most emotional part for me was that evening and the following days. Seeing people walk around with pictures of their loved ones. When I saw that, it hit me like a ton of bricks, moreso than seeing the second plane hit or the towers collapse. I only knew one person in the WTC (2nd tower), and he got out.

Having seen the movie... I can attest that you will cry. When I left the theater, I pulled my hat down a little and made my way out, hearing sniffles and sobs the whole way.

To be honest, I didn't really want to see it, but felt that I should. I'm glad I went, but I can't say that I enjoyed it either.

and im afraid we are going to get hit again, as soon as they get the numbers in the usa, do you really think only mexicans are comiing across the border, nope.
