I believe that the purpose of these forums is the exchange of ideas and a way to let off steam regarding governmental actions. They also allow us to steer others to poeple and places each of us find interesting. Tell jokes, inform others about their problems with computers and each other. Am I wrong and if why?

I totally agree with you on the topic here. This keeps people in touch with, what really goes on in Hagerstown. For someone to say you are wrong, would be totally untrue. I personally look forward to reading other people opinions. Even though I may not always agree.

What is the purpose of this thread? And why is it in the Wash Co. forum?

Personally, I come here for entertainment purposes. Work goes by a lot faster with the HM Forums!

However, I do end up learning a lot of things that I would otherwise not know about, especially the happenings in Hagerstown, the city council, etc. So I do think it's a great outlet for learning about the local community. Just my 2 cents.

Looky- you hit the nail on the head with everything you said. When I first moved here I found this site
and started reading all the local stuff. believe it or not it took me a while before i worked up the nerve to post something. When I did I had 4 or 5 people help me with getting to know the area and have been coming back ever since. Hopefully I can help the noobies now

Being I'm since two years old to the area. Since I been reading the post for sometime now. And finally join the forums in April 2005. I like to know, all I can about Hagerstown and the surrounding areas. Plus the who, what, where, why, when and how. Of everything the public officals do for Hagerstown residents. Wether it be good or bad. It's my duty as a resident to get involved as much as I can.
