" Art" is subjective. I like scupture that actually looks like something instead of taking a "square" lump of clay and making a "rectangle" and calling it "abstract".
and why does everything have to have a "point"?

You should Google Ron Mueck and see more of his work. It it astounding, IMO.
I read that he has no formal art training (was not accepted into art school).

That stuff is a little disturbing. The lady with the baby is a little too graphic for me
I know one thing this will not become B's favorite artist

The lady with the baby is beautiful! It's innocent and natural. The one I found disturbing is "dead dad"

ewww, creepy! That baby looks like it has rigor mortis. And he has another one with just a head (super sized, of course)
Another one, Two little old ladies, look like something out of the Twilight Zone. Actually, it all kinda gives me that same eerie feeling.
But, I have say that the pregnant lady is ok. But, he doesn't capture the beauty of it, IMO. Just looks plain and out there! But, you have to admit, he does have talent.

All of the sculpture look so Real. Amazing that's for sure. Pure talent
