Though you are treating your pets with flea treatment, you also have to treat the environment: your apartment. Any veterinarian office will be able to recommend a good one. Also, if you use the vet approved flea treatment for your pets, such as Advantage or Frontline, it will last for a month. Continue to treat your pets monthly until at least the first frost, then start up again in the spring. Fleas are probably coming in on you as well as your pets, so keeping your home flea proofed is important. Oh, and as far as I know, fleas and knats are two entirely different things.

That person can also treat the yard too. I forget the name, but on the bag it should say, Kill Fleas also kills other bugs in the lawn as well. It's in a heavy plastic bag, like fertilizer is. Right in that section at Home Depot. That's what I do. I don't have any problems.

Frontline is the best, if you ask me. I've seen a lot of cases where flea powder and flea collars hurt pets more than helps them. Losing fur, nasty skin rash, scabs, etc.

I heard it's really hard to get rid of fleas from in your carpet. Infestation!

Good luck, lady with flea problems. smile.gif

Flea/bug bombs take care of that.
