The 157th Military Police Company out of Martinsburg West Virginia is still overseas in Iraq. They have been gone this deployment for 7 months and as of this date have no ideas when they might return home to their family.
These soldiers spent a year deployed for homeland security after Sept.11,2001. They were home for four months before their National Guard Unit was called up again, this time for an overseas mission. Seven months later into this deployment there is still no clear date as to when they may return.... with the latest extension the Army has made, extending 6 month in country to 12 months, this will leave many of our soldiers there for some time. These brave men and woman from our community are very much missed and have many people awaiting on their return home. I write this today just to let you know that we have brave soldiers in our community that are deployed for Operation Iraqi Freedom and I ask you to pray for there safe return home to Martinsburg soon. =)
