I'm surprised. I always got the impression that he was more careful than it appeared on the show. Probably some kind of fluke accident. We'll miss him, we always got a kick out of watching his show.

Fluke accident. My husband and I have swam/dove with stingrays before and deaths are very rare.

Well I thought it would be the croc that got him but very sad indeed.

I never thought he'd be killed, especially by a stingray. I guess the fact that they were filming so far away from civilization played a big factor in his not being able to survive.

He died almost immediately (still underwater) so I doubt being in a more civilized area would have helped.
