Restaurant.com is a pretty popular site for getting restaurant gift certificates. They typically sell them at a discount, generally a $25 gift certificate costs about $10. They sometimes run specials, too, making them even cheaper.

They never really had much in our area. But I just popped on recently, and found they are now offering gift certificates to:

C&J's Roadhouse Grill
Colonial Restaurant
Fireside
Gateway

Basically, you pay about $10 for a $25 gift certificate to the restaurant, which you print out on your computer. Some exclusions apply, depending on the restaurant. Some say you can only use these certificates Sun-Thurs, others say a minimum purchase of $35 is required, etc. But all in all, a good deal if you like these places.

Right now there's a coupon code floating out there... you can get an extra 40% off with code 41028 until 9/30 (Not sure if this works, just found it at www.currentcodes.com)

Enjoy!

Code 41028 works, I just used it.

I purchased two $25 restaurant gift certificates (total: $50) for just $12!

I have been using these for quite a while..
Unfortunately, the one for the Colonial is now only good on a bill for $50.00 or more.... now that is still a great deal, but when it is just my wife, 7yr old daughter and myself we don't have a bill that high...

I will be buying them for c&J's though.... we have come to really enjoy that place.

BTW, if you do a search on eBay, you can usually find them even cheaper than the discounted price.

Peacefrog and Old Grizzly thanks for the information. I just bought 2- $25 gift certificates for $8.00. Just to let everyone else know once you register they will send you codes to give you even larger percentages off. The code now for 60% is 65639.
