Is there someone out there who can explain to me why there are so many "no school" days on the calendar?

Since most poling places are in schools I can understand being closed for election day but why Monday and a half day Friday???

What exactly is a "Professional Learning Day?"

Its where the teachers get to "learn" new skills...such as, how to shop...how to 'engage' the students...how low income students view other people as 'possessions'...and other such clap trap...

I'm a little late here, But I think the kids have to many days off. Just my two cents worth.

Except of course they do not get out early or have tommorrow off...which would make travelling easier for the parents..oh well.
