Halfway through the season... give a midseason review of your team, rosters, and remaining schedule! (I'll post mine later when I get time)

I love the 'Skins and Steelers and they both are playing lousy ball this year. Every year it gets harder and harder to like pro sports due to the players who play them.

You had to enjoy seeing TO find out what karma was on Sunday though. wink.gif

Skins and Chargers. Lets start out with the bad news first

Skins- extremely disappointed so far with 3-5. free agents haven't lived up to the hype. Randel-El, Lloyd, Archuleta,& Carter. None of them have had an impact.

Defensively- the Skins can't cover anyone (springs hopefully will help) and can't get the pass rush going.

Offensively- i think the biggest problem is Al Saunders!
The 700 pg. playbook obviously isnt working and the game plan needs to be scaled down. I've never been a Brunell booster and I think its time for campbell to show what hes got. We gave up 3 picks for this guy and he has to get some game time or we will never know if he can do it.

Outlook- Schedule is BRUTAL the rest of the way and my prediction is 7-9 no playoffs

Chargers- Rivers is 2nd in passer rating which makes the move to get rid of Brees look a lot better. Hes playing great. gates not having a monster season so far and LT is LT! best player in the game right now.
Recievers are very shaky and they could really use another reciever. Line is playing great.

defense- Playing tough football and i think possibly the best D in the league. Merriman being out for 4 games hurts alot. He is the leader of this D. Last years secondary was horrible and they have made huge strides this year.

Prediction-11-5 wild card and deep into the playoffs. Possiblt AFC championship game vs. Colts. I dont think they will win that one but this team is getting better by the day and with Rivers getting more experience they will be superbowl contenders for the next several years

The 'Skins need to go to Campbell. Brunell was stellar in his prime, but those days are long gone. They need to start looking to the future, not now. They aren't going to be able to make a playoff run with the current lineup. The Cowboys are a young team and they will only get better. Not sure on the age of the Giants, but they are going to be someone to contend with. I don't know why they made moves to get Lloyd and Randle El when its just more of the same. They should've went with a bigger receiver to make for some interesting matchups against opponents so that Moss was more of a threat.

I have to admit that I thought the Chargers made a huge mistake getting rid of Brees, and if Rivers didn't step up, they would have. Brees is playing phenomenal football in New Orleans.

Giants are getting old- Strahan, toomer, & Tiki
Boys should be good for a while IF Romo pans out
Eagles are getting old also
Skins In my opinion need a coaching change and a new direction

The Chiefs, Saints, Ravens (grrrr), and Broncos are my surprises that are doing well this year.

Some teams look really good building for next year like the Lions, Packers, 49ers, and Jets.

My biggest disappointment are the Dolphins who are my favorite team and who was picked by SI to be in the Super Bowl. Redskins, Bengals, Steelers, Panthers, and Texans (big surprise) have all been disappointing too. The Vikings and Bills looked like they were on par to have great seasons, but they've both dropped off BAD the last couple weeks.

The only thing I'll add is don't be shocked if some of the 2-6 and 3-5 teams make a run at the playoffs.

Dr. Z was smoking crack when he picked the Dolphins for the Super Bowl. I like reading his stuff but that was just plain idiotic when you consider the cream of the crop.
