I need find a place that gives loads to people with less than perfect... well way less than perfect credit.
I have a great stable job which I been at for 2yrs but have made some poor credit mistakes in the past. I'm just looking for a nicer car, used preferred.
I'm thinking about a personal loan for around 5k so that I can buy car car. I think it will be cheaper for me that way. I will be selling my car for about $2.5k which I will use to to payback some of the loan and repairs on the vehical if bought private. The other alternative is a auto loan for about 10k or less. I really don't want an auto loan cause my payments will be close to $300 a month which I shy away from. But if that is the only one I can get I will have to get that.
Please let me know if you know of such a place.
Thanx!

There are ads all the time for 'bad credit, no credit' car loans...
unfortunately, that usually means outrageous interest rates
that will drive up your monthly payment....I"d look into a
local credit union, and have them deduct the payments
directly from your share account....you might have some
luck doing that...

Jim Wright, a few months back, I was car shopping and saw something at the Southern's on Frederick St. that interested me. I called to get a price and they refused to give me the price over the phone. The salesman said that I had to come in to get the price.
What was up with that?

Check used car lots. Many offer "buy here, pay here" financing. Just about anyone qualifies--not even sure if they run a credit check. Basically, you have to walk into the lot every week with your payment (usually about $50) in hand, or else the come and repossess the car. It's not the smartest financial move--a loan from a bank will cost you less--but in terms of bad credit deals, it's okay.
