Personally, I don't have nothing on my wish list. What I do have would be impossible for it to come true.
My wish list would be that my father & mother could be here. But since their in heaven, I'll just have to say a prayer for them.
As far as Christmas itself goes, my children know. Christmas is not just about getting gifts, but it's also about helping the less fortunate folks. For they know, money don't grow on trees. Some people just need a little help along the way. To make their season bright for their children. Hard times can come upon us at anytime. You just never know.
Just to let you know, My mother pass away on Christmas Day 2003.
So Christmas can come and go, like the wind blows.

I am sure many struggle with the balance during the holiday season. Christmas can be about the good feelings we remember as well as the challenges, so it can be stressful. It can involve gifts, helping others, and the significance of the 25th. It can be hard. Sometimes an individual may take a short break and make a silly comment or share a lighter moment during this busy holiday season. It releives stress, others may even find satisfaction from helping others. We all have a fix or a way of coping. Holidays can be both unique & similiar to each of us.
I know I get down during the holidays due to some losses. My sister passed away this time last year so i try to keep busy helping others. Helping others sometimes makes December brighter for me. I do not have extra money but I do have time to share, so I try to spread it around when I can. Ironically, I find the initial part of January to be a let down after so much crazy activity. So I try to schedule a balance between work, volunteering, and enjoying nature. The best thing for me is getting up, active, and outside but it can be hard. Enjoying the great scenic areas nearby lets me be a better help to others, which helps. Getting out and about smooths out my January, which eliviates my "after holiday blues period". We are all muddling through.
Best wishes to all for happiness in something all year round. I wish all good health, good times, and PEACE for 2007.
Lulu, consider the slippers a done deal, you work hard and are a kind soul to many.
