I am going to take out all of the first sentence and part of the second sentence:anyone who knew of whom I spoke of Knows what I meant.
It could have been improved like this:
Anyone that knew of whom I spoke, would understand what I meant.
So - We are able to capitalize the first word of the sentence (yeah, I know that is just a formality online), it is easier to read/understand without so many who/whoms and knew/knows.
If this had happened we could have had this result:
