So I finally got an XBox 360 last night and set it all up.. got all connected and everything and I have ONE friend... a good gaming buddy of mine since 1999. Anyone else on XBox Live? If so, post your names.. or PM me! Mine is phluux.

So far I've just got NBA 2K7 (came with it), Marvel Ultimate Alliance and Gears of War but I might pick up a couple others in the next few days.

PM (and Live friend request) sent. The only other one around here that I know is on Live is tfirey. I don't think he has a 360, but I see him playing Halo 2 a good bit on the original xbox.

We have to do some co-op on Gears of War. When you get my friend request, you can check out the games I have in my profile. It's too embarrassing to list them all here.

I'll probably get Halo 2, possibly Oblivion and maybe a couple others. I'm down for some Gears of War whenever, just let me know.

Probably the most recent half dozen or so is all I own now. I trade in/ebay most of my stuff when I beat it.

Let me know when you are comfy with the controls on Gears of War. I want to beat it on the Insane difficulty level and the only way to do it is with a partner.

Don't forget to check out all the demos that are available on there and the Live Arcade games. If you are considering Oblivion, for the next few days, one of the downloadable expansion packs is free as a sort-of Christmas present from the game's developers.

Yeah the controls are gonna take some getting used to. I played it a little tonight then had to run out.

I picked up Oblivion and got the Mehrune's Razor pack... looked like the only one that was free. Thanks for the heads up on that. I guess I need to buy some credits to get the other stuff.

This might be old news to the gamers, but do y'all know about GameFly? It's like Netflix except it's for games.

Rent your games and burn 'em!

I've considered them, but they apparently only have distro centers on the west coast, so turnaround time is terrible. I guess Netflix's speedy service has me spoiled.

Yeah I'm off until Tuesday, but I will be out on New Year's Eve... and I might decide to get off of my recliner on Saturday night.

If I was in coma's position as a new console owner, I'd still probably give one of the rental services a try instead of buying all the good games of the past year or trying to find a local joint with a good 360 game rental selection.
