I think its because Roundtuit called her a hussie. But,come to think of it, it could be penis related.

Back on topic...
My wife just got back from there. Brought home lots of fresh baked goodies. She said it was really great. Lots of breads, baked goods, meats, furniture.... all Amish and Mennonite stuff. The whoopie pies and homemade garlic and onion potatoe chips are fantastic!
She also said it was very crowded. Which is a good thing. I hope this place is a success.
Lots of the baked goods are baked right on the premises.

Oh wow, I used to go to the one in Burtonsville when I lived down that way for my meats and cheeses and baked goods and...yum!!!!
Bad place to be when I'm hungry though

I hate to jack your thread but I seriously didn't realize you thought I hated you. What have I done to make you think I hate you? I've posted on your profile. You were in my signature on the nice list at Christmas. We joked about your signature showing me my ISP. So it's not like I ignored you.
We've never been the best of friends, so it's not like we share PMs.
I don't get it.

You called me a cheater in Samy0s trivia thread, and you didn't comment when I outed myself as Roundtuit- so I thought you were mad about the things he said.
Its all good. I'll buy you a drink at a meet n greet and it will all be water under the bridge.

Back on topic:
I couldn't wait until Sat. so I went this afternoon. Very nice products.
One tip: You have to pay for your items at each vendor even though it looks like they are all together. (pay for bread where you get bread, candy at the candy counter, etc.). I only mention it because there is a nazi at the door repremanding those who don't (fortunately, she didn't see me screw it up).
Bonus: I saw Lou Scally- He held the door open for me and the kids! I said "Thank you Mr. Scally!" That brought a smile to his face!

Went there on Saturday evening after the wife, daughter and I went out to dinner.....
Good thing too.... because there was so much good stuff there I would have gone broke when I was still hungry before dinner...
Not only the fresh baked goods, but in the back there is an area where you can get a meal and sit down and enjoy it.... and all the food looked soo good..
I did buy a couple of soft pretzels and my little one wanted root beer licorice.....
Everyone was very friendly and helpful when we were looking around.... it was a pleasure to shop there.
This place is going to do some serious damage to the vendors at the Hagerstown Farm Market, I think.

Drove by there Sat. forget it, there was a solid line of people going in and coming out. I'll give it a couple weeks before we check it out.

I am with you Udmas,
I took a ride out and I have never seen that many cars at Longmeadow. I hate crowds so I kept driving. All of the stores out there must be very excited.

Since moving from H-town, I'm trying to place which shopping center this is in. Is this near the YMCA, at the intersection of (I think) Potomac and Eastern? Or is it the shopping center where we're going for the meet & greet where the Martin's is?
Why am I confused?

It's the one out by the new YMCA, where Books and Things is, the old Sears was there. The market is at the opposite end from where Sears was.

With the new market, new post office, and the new Lowes coming that place is going to be jumping. I cant wait until lowes opens up. it'll cut my drive from 20 mins to 5 mins.

Great fun at the market. The produce, bakery items, and snackables looked good. The people were friendly.
My only concern was a slight question about the furniture. It was nice but I prefer the furniture up at the Amish collective, near Westminster or Reigerstown, Md in Carroll County. The furniture at this local market was good but there was not as much variety or craftiness like at some other family furniture markets. Still saw some pieces I would like to have.
A big plus for a up and down neighborhood mall. Glad to see the possibility of a good anchor that might stay. Especially with a new shopping complex being designed across the street. Looking good!, makes the old Sears scream out for some new ideas or demolition.

GREAT little market.
We stopped in got some meats, all looked very good.
Being the "transplant" I am, I received an education from my wife. She has been telling me she wanted a potato bin?!? I had no idea what she was talking about, I thought she wanted a small crate to hold the potatoes, well nope, it is about a 3' high bin with 3 compartments one on top for bread, next one down for potatoes and finally a third one for onions, at least that's what I was told. It just so happened, they had one, so guess who also has one.
