They hired him for these types of challenges. I think ESPN should've not accepted his resignation.

Rush shouldn't even be on a sports show in my opinion. Thats like getting Jim Rome to do Crossfire on CNN, just ain't happening.
In regaurds to his comment about the press wanting to see a "black" quarter back do well, I think he could have kept that comment to himself. I heard him say that the sports press is liberal, but I dont see that in anyway. I, being a conservative, think that the sports press isn't bias to any kind of political party being Liberal,Democrat,or Conservative. Sports see no color.

Not only did his comment cause a big uproar in the media, but it was completley not based on the facts! I also like you don't think any sports outfit shares any political bias.

But didn't Detroit have to interview a black coach? I know nothing about Mc Nabb since I don't really watch football.

I mean ESPN or ABC Sports don't really share any political bias, at least from what I've seen. As for Detroit I think Romulus mentioned something like that in an earlier post, but I'm not quite sure.

I figure what did they hire him for if not to be controversal? Come on the guy's whole persona is he is a commentator on the radio...if they wanted a nonconfrontational type they should have hired a blond buck toothed bimbo who reads a script--just turn to any news channel and they are everywhere...
