Here's an idea for dads to do with kids for mom's Valentine gift. Real easy and kids any age can make it.

Chocolate covered Strawberries.

Don't bother to spend a lot on these at the candy stores. Making them is simple. Just go to the grocery store for strawberries and find the aisle where they sell chocolate chips and baking stuff. You'll find Baker's dipping chocolate in cups. You can get dark or milk chocolate. Put it in the microwave for about one minute. Stir till smooth. Then dip the strawberries in the melted chocolate. Leave the Green stem on the strawberry. Looks prettier. Then put them on a slightly greased cookie sheet and refrigerate till chocolate hardens.

Also, get a bag of the long pretzels and cover half of the pretzel with the melted chocolate. Have the kids cover them with sprinkles. Then put in fridge to harden.

You can also find a bag of white chocolate and do the same. Really pretty with all types of sprinkles. If you use the cookie sheets, it keeps the mess to a minimum.

But, I say, have fun! Make a mess!

This isn't a gift idea, but I thought this thread could serve as a Valentine's Day topic in general, if Check doesn't mind?

Did y'all know that Noah and Allie from The Notebook are still together in real life?

For you guys who are in trouble, here's an idea that'll get you out of the doghouse...

Get yourself 2-1/4" sheets of drywall and 3 hinges. Lay the 2 sheets down, install the hinges and paint your message inside your giant card. Then put it in the front yard of your girl.

I've got a couple of friends doing this idea today because they didn't know what else to do. The women love a public spectacle on occasion, and this would be one. Enjoy!
