Hey why do people work so much? You work to have a life right? Well if you are working all the time, wheres the life? If you do it just to pay bills then maybe you shouldnt have those bills that are so high. Thats a waste of life to just work all the time. Most of those that have alot of money dont work much , the ones who truly work dont ever have much and by the time they do, they are too old and its too late.

lol Alot of people work 2 jobs not because they actually like it, they want others to think they are so big and tough and they like to brag about it to everyone. People are always doing things to try to make themselves look good to others, and they are the ones who tell you to worry about yourself not others- hypocrites.

I've found that people work multiple jobs for a few reasons:

1. Living to far out of their means.
2. Child support
3. Trying to retire early
4. Flat out enjoy those jobs
5. Have nothing better to do.

Then again they might be low on the education totem pole and work for scratch just to make ends meet. I know a few of those also who happen to be high school dropouts. But working multiple jobs is always better than not doing anything and living off of welfare due to sheer laziness.

Thats what they tell you anyway but I know better. Working even one job is like slavery these days unless you have other connections giving to you. Anyone who just has income from simply a job will never have anything no matter how hard they work, theres always some other link one must have. Even those who own their own business- they got loans, they didnt just say ok Ill pull all these things out my A*s and run a company. I have to pay child support too but seriously people always have to go around and tell everyone i work 2 jobs or 16 hours a day cuz they want them to think like their hot stuff, well I think theyre foolish. I wont sit around and use off welfare but Id still rather sleep all the time in jail than work for nothing.

Its really common sense people are killing themselves and having no life and they just keep thinking they are gonna get there, then they amy arrive but theyre so old and worn out that the same things that were important arent anymore.

did you know if you got a job--any job and worked at it for 20+ years you would not be poor in this country? Of course our poor have cable tv, a car, a microwave, and tons of food...enough money to buy cigarettes and beer...so they aren't really poor are they? and free medical care...

Oh geeze the country is so rich, the taxes you pay are always accumulating interest in government accounts so thats why the govnt wants you to work so bad, they like to tell you all this garbage that it helps people internally and creates harmony but i know the real reason.

I work multiple jobs. My reasons are that no one else is going to pay my bills. I pay for tuition, books, and food to sustain myself. Working is a means for me to get closer to my goal of an adequate life. A life where I support myself.

I like to act in plays & musicals. Sometimes I'm doing 2 at a time. I like to do it because it's fun and I like it.

Most do get things given to them, have some kind of other method of receiving money even if they work 5 jobs at once. Its a spoiled place up here compared to Beckley, WV. Most get from parents, inheritances, loans, but hardly anyone has much off just plain working. I know whats going on , dont worry.

Flipper done flip. Unless you walk a mile in someone's shoes, how can you say why a person works 2 jobs? Some people have no choice but to work 2 jobs. What's wrong with working 2 jobs to better yourself? Not everyone has things handed to them. Not every business owner is deep in debt either. As a business owner. Plus I'm a single mother of 2 kids for the pass 10 years. I sure don't go blowing money on crap I don't need. My bills always come first before anything else. City of Hagerstown getting richer faster then I am.

I feel sorry for the people that are just getting by. Prices of uility's are going up, prices of everything is going up. They have no choice but to work and work. They way rent keeps going up, I wouldn't want to pay, what people are paying now. You just don't have a soul, that's it. Never assume you know what your talking, when your not living other people's lifes.

If it is really as difficult as you say then how come there are so many people blowing money on worthless material things?Its mostly the young ones who have everything given to them also or the ones who dont work and have wife, gf , or mom take care of them. If so many people work then how come the stores are crowded? I also have always experienced so many people taking off whenever they want to without suffering consequences. I could work 24 hours a day and not get anything for it- so where is the incentive? Others can lay around and they are fine so why cant I? Not all are like this, nothing is ever all but the majority in this area are. Id really like to know why the ones who do so much working are the ones who dont have much and the opposite for those who dont. How do others even have so much to give to the ones who dont merit it anyway? So I if I worked many jobs then all Id have to look forward to is coming home and then going back in? If I would just be doing what most people are by doing that then how come I havent seen any different from most? Most of the time the hardest workers either get looked at as a fool or they intimidate others? Where exactly is all the money people have come from? It sure isnt just straight from work I dont care how many jobs you have. I think its old money or passed somehow corruptly or just given due to someone valuing another for the wrong reasons.

I havent done flipped either- it is what I see out there amongst yall. The same who slams me for these views alot of times are the same ones who are guilty of it. So basically you are saying all I ever have to look forward to is going to work, coming home, paying bills and nothing else right? If you worked 24 hrs a day and not get anything for it then you have a $hitty job/employeer.

Money comes from working. Get a college education and get a $70,000 a year job- then ask where the money comes from.

Who is going to give me the money to pay for school and living bills to get that 70k? I went for a year and a half, then an ex gf stole all my loan money and now I have to pay it back before I can get in again. I really wish it was like how yall say out there but it isnt and I cant ignore what I see like most. It would be awesome and Id be fine if it was truly like how yall say it is. I know Im supposed to not have any feelings about anything and just ignore things and move on like most. Just take for myself no matter how and be oblivious to how guilty it would make me feel. Its a shame how many others go to school and party and use off parents and others, they are taking up the space that should be for one who truly is into learning and doing the right things.

Most I know work during the day and go to school at night, then get a job. Some have a job that pays for school at night.

My student loans went directly to the school. You must eb a fool if you GF was able to steal your student loan money. Did you file a police report?

The harder you work surely doesnt make you advance, it really doesnt hinge upon that. It depends on the extras, the smooching up and putting a front on at the times when you have to to the ones who you think count.

Yes I did and they said I couldnt prove it among other things and she also took off to either AZ or Michigan awhile before I realized it was gone. My loans did at first also but I took it out and kept it in case I needed it for living bills. I know I screwed up but I didnt take the money out of my drawer. I ended up homeless then and ever since I havent been able to get back in.

As far as attitude, I dont go to work to marry anyone or kill anyone, I am there to do straight up work. The social aspect appears to be more important than the labor part, I know better. When I worked at Citicorp I just sat and toiled and was very successful as far as results and stats went but I just kept to my self and did my thing. Others up always goofing off and they got the accolades. The same at all the other places Ive been, now the times I did flirt and carry on then I was loved but thats always been more important than my work and others as well. I could just focus and do my work and If I made a mistake it was magnified a miillion times more than when I frolicked among the others. The same goes to what I see out of others that do the same.

Even if you make so much money it doesnt make you a true 'rich' person. It is your values that makes you rich and definitely not the hardest worker.

Make up your mind, you say you don't like working for nothing, then say you don't want/need money.

We all work because we have to, we have bills, wants and needs. Without those, few if any, would "work".

Then you are doing it wrong or for the wrong employer. If you work hard for the right employer, then you will get ahead. Being a good employee means more than doing your job, it means being part of a team (which include social interactions). Like or or not, that's the way it is.

Actually most people have liked me where Ive worked as far as personally, until they found out what I had and what I was interested in-goes back to comments I made about hunting, cars, sex, etc. I just want people to value me more for what I do than the social.

Just ignore whats really going on and be selfish, go into a split personality around others and say what they want and do what they want regardless and Ill be fine. If thats the way it is I will never get anywhere because I will not be fake. May as well throw in the towel. So many have laughed and told me not to worry and not to try so hard at things, then they have a problem when I dont try so what is it? What do yall want? I have been well liked but not much for my work except for when they realize they dont have to do as much because I did it.

24 hours in a day- 9 at work = 15 hours left - 6 for sleep= 9 hours for enjoyment per day! Of course there are other things to do like housekeeping, chores, kids stuff but I find enjoyment in that too.
