I'm thinking about getting braces to get it fixed. Phish has this picture of me that makes me look like the "before" aspect of a poster hanging in a dentist's office. That's when I really noticed it, so I went back and looked at other pictures and realized...I have a wicked overbite. Blecht.

It would only be done for aesthetic purposes. My teeth are healthy and straight. My dentist has never mentioned my overbite before. That makes me vain, I guess.

But I always wanted braces when I was little. I used to put little strips of tin foil on my teeth and I thought it was cool.

I want the old fashioned metal ones too.

My wife was 26 when she got her braces. Her teeth were crowded in her tiny mouth, so they pulled a couple in the back and corrected a slight overbite. She had them on for a little less than 2 years and had them removed last summer. I grumbled paying most of the $4k bill out of my pocket, but damn, she's even more beautiful now.

The top teeth braces were porcelain (or some such teeth colored material) and were barely noticeable. The bottoms were the regular metal ones.

I didn't notice any overbite when I met you but if it makes you feel better why not My daughter says they hurt like crazy for about 3 days after she gets them tightened so be ready to self medicate

My uncle got braces a few years ago for my aunt and he was in his early 40s. Sweet.

My wife has pretty good insurance through her job and I think they only kicked in 1K (maybe 1500) total for the braces, extractions, etc. YMMV

Most insurance pays a max of half for braces, many plans pay even less than that.

If no one has ever commented on it it must be minor. Ask some friends to be honest if they even notice. As for guys -- most probably don't care, those that do probably aren't worthy.

But on closer inspection... those 2 front teeth are gigantic! You could stand to shave them down a bit.

And your incisors are a little catty looking... and not exactly the same size either. You may want to cap them.
