Anyone else watch this? It really grew on me last season and this season hasn't let me down with all of the twists. I am still trying to get used to the new guy as Octavian... just something about him that I don't like, I dunno. He lacks personality and depth, or something. I'm not sure they have been able to cast him right yet.

Anyway, I really hope they do a 3rd season when this is over!

I have the season saved on my Tivo to watch all at once. That's how I prefer to watch HBO series 'cause most of them are that good.

I'm 93.4% sure that this is it for Rome. I don't think it was even supposed to go past the first season because of how expensive it was.

Thanks Sman for ruining my entire day.
There are only 2 more episodes left.
I don't watch much on TV but I won't miss a Sunday at 9:00.
I don't know what I will do if they don't keep the series going. I guess I'll have to find something with as much intrigue and violence, I'll have to watch re-runs of Council Meetings. laugh.gif
You're right Coma, I don't much care for Octavian in this series, liked him when he was younger, hangin with Pullo and learning how to be a man. It is a wonder that Antony hasn't beheaded him yet. He just seem like a snotty sh!t now.

I love the show also. I don't know if it will be it for the show or not. Remember HBO is nto doing this alone I think the BBC is in this joint venture with them. It will be sad times for HBO if this is it Rome, The Sopranos and The Wire (this fall) all ending. Guess I will have to settle for Sleeeper Cell and Dexter on Showtime.

Keep your chin up, Mr. Mayor.... The Shield starts April 3rd. biggrin.gif

Speaking of The Wire, Tony C., how freakin' good is that show? I just got a chance to watch the fourth season (the one in the schools) and was completely blown away by the writing and acting. Not that these awards shows mean anything, but how can they overlook quality television like that?

There may be hope for Rome. Remember, The Sopranos was supposed be finished after last season (now we get 8 more eps), The Wire was axed after 3 seasons (the 4th just aired and they are filming the 5th), etc., so there is a chance.

There are so many loose ends to tie up in two episodes... I don't know how they could do it. Here's hoping to a 3rd season!

Well I think that was a fitting end to the show although I would like to have seen one more big battle scene.

I would have liked to have seen Lucius Vorenus live, make up with his family. Grippa and Octacia get together. Attia find someone, God only knows who would have her. laugh.gif

I hope it does come back, I enjoyed it.

Yeah, I was disappointed to see Lucius die, but at least his family seemed to forgive him.

I hope there will be another season. The fans were vehement for a second season immediately after the first ended... and its not like HBO doesn't have the money. I don't think it can even be made into a long movie because there's just too much substance to cover. Only problem is that they killed off some of the strongest cast members.

Gotta love Titus Pullo though. He was so cool in both seasons.

Caesarion: Where's my mother?
Pullo: Oh, she's dead. Did it herself! Very noble!

Vorenus: How did that go?
Pullo: I head butted him and bit his tongue out!

Gotta love him.

I don't know I think Attia is pretty hot same with Octavia. Dang I am going to miss that show. I would like to have seen how perverted and twisted OCtavian would have become in future episodes. He was doing a pretty good job of it. Oh well good shows never stick around long eenough, instead we get crap like Big Brother, Survivor and American Idol.
