OK,

I got got a Job offer after my interview at the airport. I still have to work out some details, but it looks like I will be moving to The tristate area. I am considering bringing my Popup camper and stayin at Yogi Bear campground until I find a more permanent Residence.

I am certain you guys/gals have some suggestions of where to live so against my better judgement(LOL) I will ask the forums for some advice

Congrats, dougstermd.

You might want to provide some more information before everyone chimes in here.

Do you:

Want an apartment?
Rent a House?
Buy a house?

What area will you be working in? (you mentioned something about the airport)

What price range (rent or buy) are you hoping to find?

Do schools matter?
Do you want upscale living or just something "nice"?

I was renting a mobile home on a farm here in southern maryland for $700.

My Child support takes a major portion of my income $1400 a month so buying another house for me is a dream I will just have to wait for. I will be working second shift Htown airport if I decide to take the position. Since my children will be living down here with their mother Schools are not a concern for me and being three hours away I will not be seeing them everyother weekend either.

So I guess I just need a bachelor Crash pad:shrug:

You will not find a better apartment than upstairs at 23 East Washington Street. You may be even able to make some good money to offset that child support downstairs. I know all about child support believe me.

Don't listen to pancake man! No one wants to live at 23 Washington St, esp. since he probably lives there! There are some nice places around for a not-so large price.

Welcome to the forums. Hope you brought your hip-boots, 'cause it gets pretty deep in here sometimes!

There's a couple of decent trailer courts in the tri-state area where you may be able to rent, but you might be able to find a small apartment in the Waynesboro area (less than 1/2 hour from the airport) for about the same as renting an entire mobile home. Waynesboro PA seems to have the lowest rent within commuting distance.

Gotta watch those Waynesboro folks though. FLIPPER and I both live there, so you have a "interesting" mixture of folks from which to choose your new friends and neighbors.

Might want to check out Greencastle PA also, nice quiet little community, even closer to the airpark.

I agree with you on Greencastle, I basically despise about all of Pa but I do like Greencastle. Waynesboro is nasty as hell especially the Sheetz with all those nasty women and loser men hanging out there, I never go there. It is the cheapest around though Doug.

Ok thanks,

I do not really want an actual trailer park. The place i had down here was a single trailer located on a farm. Apartments might be my best deal right now.

I will probally use a campground and do a little long term camping this summer just till I find my way around.

As for the hip boots I am prepared for anything in here. The forum we have down here is really fun:yay: and a little busier than this one. Of course I am in a bunch of private forums and that is where the really good gossip is :LMAO:

Holy Bat Sh!t, your in/from Waynesboro? Way to close to home. I'm going to have to load up the guns and keep'em handy I see. You just stay on the corner there in town and we'll be fine.

Jelsey I'm sure you know that was not directed at you, just wanted to be clear. laugh.gif

Actually, I was going to suggest WV after seeing your avatar and signature. You would be closer to all the gentlemen's clubs, but not too far from work...the best of both worlds! laugh.gif

There's some nice apartment buildings off the Dual Highway, right behind were Weis is. There around $635 per month. The area is nice, your close to the grocery store and other things, your close to 70 East. But I wouldn't know how the people are, as I don't live in that area. I live closer to the golf course, that's a nice area too.
