This place is on Frederick St, between Amvets and Pete's... right beside FirstCover Tinting. The owners are Romanian and the menu is huge, featuring all kinds of European food with a pretty large Italian selection.
The food was great and I couldn't eat it all, the owners were extremely friendly and hospitable with a nice sense of humor, even giving us some free homemade donuts on the house. Definitely will be going back.

Any greek selections on the menu?
I'm still looking for a good greek restaurant that has souvlaki, a good gyro, spanokopita, etc.
How were they price wise?

What types of European foods, Coma?
And, most importantly, were the donuts homemade??

Hubby and I ate there this past weekend. The food was good. The people who run it are the nicest ever!
And yes - the donuts were homemade and delicious!
The menu selections are huge. I had the Baked Salmon and husband had the Moldavian Chicken. Portions were good-sized and flavors were excellent!
We will visit Dolce often.

Just ate there this afternoon. Had the Chicken Parmesan... excellent. It's just a small place though, 8 or 9 tables, more of a carryout place than an eat in place. But very clean, the food was hot and the service and friendliness of the staff was terrific. Definitely a going-back-to place.

OK, since I do respect the opinion of the folks on this forum I will give it another chance. However, went there at 5:30 pm tonight. The place was empty, a lady came out and yelled, "Yea were open!". She asked if we were eating in or taking out. Not sure why she asked the question because she then said that we could not order the pizza or anything that needed dough or put in the oven. I told her that we would have to try it another time. So we then went to the Kabob place downtown and that place was empty and seemed a little scary. We then went to Calypso place and they have closed for good. So we ended up at Cafe Del Sol. What the hell happened to that place? Three other people were in there, but the food was still good.

Sounds like their oven broke. Please give it another opportunity, they're really nice people and the food is very good.
Cafe Del Sol, as someone commented earlier, seems to have reduced the portions of their meals and raised their prices. Although still very good, this may be the cause. Or, after a long bbq weekend, maybe not many folks out tonite.

I don't think anything was wrong with the oven. She said that the owner had to go out of town and no one else knew how, "to do the dough or the oven?"
I was thinking the same thing that maybe everyone is eating leftovers from the cookouts.

Well I stand corrected!!!! Went in tonight and the service is so good that if the food was bad I still would have to go back. Anyway, the food was Great, prices are Great, and Service is second to none.

Oh, yeah. I forgot I went here for lunch a week or two ago. I just got a sub and didn't venture too far into the menu, but I was pleased with the sub and the service was outstanding. Such nice people! My cow-orkers loved the pizza.
I am worried that they aren't getting enough business. I go by there a good bit and never see anybody in the parking lot. Others I know that have went say they've been the only one in the restaurant during their entire visit.
