Does anyone know of a place locally that offers grief counseling for people who have lost a spouse (or other loved-one)? By lost I do not mean divorce, BTW, but death. Maybe a support-group type thing?

Thanks.

Where is the person located at that is interested in Grief Counseling?

If it is in the Frederick area Dr. Terry Martin and Dr. Dana Cable are wonderful. They are both professors at Hood College and started the first degree program in Thanatology (The study of Death and Dying) in the United States. I currently am pursuing my Master Degree in this field along with Psychology. I can tell you that these two guys are great. They can be reached at Hood College Terry Martin (tmartin@hermes.hood.edu); Dana Cable (cable@hermes.hood.edu).

I also could bet that if they are unable to help you or the person is not in the Frederick area they could link you with people in whatever area you are in.
