The Rev. Jerry Falwell dies at 73
By KRISTEN GELINEAU/Associated Press Writer
RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — The Rev. Jerry Falwell died Tuesday after being found unconscious in his office at Liberty University, his aide said.
“CPR efforts were unsuccessful,” said Ron Godwin, the executive vice president for the school, who did not have any additional information on time or cause of death.
Falwell, 73, was found unresponsive around 10:45 a.m. after missing an appointment and taken to Lynchburg General Hospital. Godwin said he was not sure what caused the collapse, but he said Falwell “has a history of heart challenges.”
“I had breakfast with him, and he was fine at breakfast,” Godwin said. “He went to his office, I went to mine, and they found him unresponsive.”
A message left by The Associated Press for Falwell’s son, Jerry Falwell Jr., was not immediately returned.

My oldest wants to go to Liberty University. I don't know a whole lot about Falwell, but I do know Liberty is an awesome school!

What is so awesome about a university that is always on the edge of losing its accredation & having money problems? And one that mainly offers theological courses? and is expensive.

And what is wrong with theological courses?
We have friends currently attending and know many more people who have graduated from there. They have terrific Sports Medicine and athletics programs along with other courses of study besides Theology.
I have never heard or read anything about the university possibly losing accredation or having money problems. And it's no more expensive to attend than any other private university.
