I guess everyone has their own interests, and PacMan's would be strip clubs with drive-bys.

What does Terrell Owens have in common with the likes of Adam Jones?
SMan
Wrong, Biggins. T.O. was only a poor teammate. Pac Man is a friggin' criminal. I can't wait for Goodell to break another one off in him.
Biggins
I didn't clarify... I was trying to say PacMan cannot stay out of the spotlight like T.O. has been the last couple years. I guess he likes the attention and cannot learn from anything.

I think another Bengal was arrested yesterday and LaVar wrecked his motorcycle.
SMan
Hey, it's early. Give T.O. some time. biggrin.gif

Give him some time....... ??? T.O has been in the league for years and his name has never been mentioned the WAY Pacmans' has been. True, T.O is all about himself.... but he's never been in or around the trouble that AdamJones has been associated with over the last year ..... You can't compare the too..... 2 totally different cases

I.M.O the commish should go ahead hand down a lifetime ban to Adam Jones . This will get the point across ut to the rest of the league that he means business. .... Obviously Adam Jones has no intentions of cleaning his act up.
Bentcorner
Pacman Jones has more in common with Ray Lewis then he does Terrell Owens. Though ESPN loves to talk about what a horrible person Terrell Owens is, I don't ever remember him being involved in incidents where people have been killed. Like Ray Lewis or Pacman Jones.

And before you give TO the bad teammate label, remember he came back to play in a SuperBowl with a broken leg. Not only did he go against doctor's advice, he had to sign a waiver with the Eagles.
SMan
I thought Biggins clarified that we were talking about media attention, not criminal activity. huh.gif That's what I was referencing.

I'm a Cowboys fan, have never particularly been a T.O. hater, but come on, that Super Bowl comeback aside, he personifies "bad teammate". Do we really need to rehash all his antics to prove it?
CoolMintDrops
my apologies for the misinterpretation SMan,

I myself am a Cowboy fan so "no".... no need to revisit all of T.O.s antics ;-)..... Howevah, It's been nice to see he hasn't been in the spotlight this offseason. I guess earning that 5mil bonus on June 1 might have had something to do with it, eh.... These athletes nowadays are a joke.

I was quite amused with the article in Sundays H.M about the 4 Pittsburgh Steelers who found it convienent to not show up to an autograph session in HTown.........

What's up with that......
SMan
Yes! We need more Cowboys fans around here.

I have some hope for the 'boys to be at least a playoff team again this year. Parcells and his old skool ways just aren't a good fit with the prima donna athletes of today. I'm not saying that's a good thing, but just how it is.

Hopefully, Phillips will have some good ideas and his positive attitude has seemed to already lift a weight off the shoulders of some of the Cowboys players who felt a little stifled under the Parcells regime. One good idea he's already stated is that there will be no more pass coverage for Roy Williams and DeMarcus Ware, just straight play making up at the line where they excel.
CoolMintDrops
I agree with everything you've said Parcells a great coach, it's just hard to blend the old school style of coaching with the new breed of players. That style of coaching believe it or not, IMO, is too hard for today's players. The only thing that worries me with Phillips,is that he's TOO SOFT but so far I like the changes he's made around Valley Ranch. I'll be real curious to see how he handles the dual head monster at RB. I'll tell you though, i'm not sold on Romo, I feel that's what is going to hold them back this year. I really hope I"m wrong.... just 2 words "HAPPY FEET"
SMan
The Cowboys have a bit of a safety net with Romo. His contract is up after this season and they have the Browns' 1st round pick (presumably/hopefully a top fiver) next year. This is Romo's make or break year. If it's break, the Cowboys take the top QB in next year's draft.

Oh crap! I wanted my Dolphins to get Brian Brohm (QB from Louisville) next year sad.gif
SMan
I'm still trying to figure out why they passed on Brady Quinn. Nothing against Ted Ginn, but I think the potential rewards from Quinn were a risk worth taking, especially with the seemingly aimless QB-ing situation in Miami.

Um yeah, I was clueless. If we're lucky, he'll be our new return guy (even though I loved Wes Welker) and a 3rd-4th WR. I hate Ohio State, so I was furious to say the least we took Ginn.
CoolMintDrops
Personally I was happy the Cowboys passed on Quinn, so I don't blame the 'Fins for passing. He's not going to be the pro QB that people think he is. Accuracy issues are is problem right now in camp and that was his problem in college, that's why he fell so far in the draft. Now as far as the 'Fins taking a kick returner so I , that is TBD.....

Brohm should be the #1 QB coming out of college next season if he can stay healthy and if L'ville doesn't flop w/o Petrino.
SMan
Brady's accuracy is suspect, but he played in as close to an NFL-style offense as you are going to find in college football, and didn't play that bad. He's no lock, but definitely the "most likely to succeed" QB in last years draft, in my humble opinion. Now, by success, I don't mean Manning/Tom Brady/Joe Montana success, just solid play.

I agree about the Cowboys and Quinn. They had no business considering him, and given the Romo situation, I doubt ever seriously did. The deal with the Browns could end up being a very shrewd move.
CoolMintDrops
I loved the move with the Browns. More than likely it's a going to be top 5 pick, who knows could be top 2 with as bad as they are. I personally love the pick trade with Philly. I think they got a player( Anthony Spencer)who could very well be the defensive rookie of the year, Hopefully he can make the transition from DE to OLB. You know as bad a rap Jerry Jones has as a medelsome owner, he sure learned how to work the draft from ole Jimmy ;-)
SMan
Not to mention the same division trade with the Cowboys sent the Eagles fans into orbit and left NFL pundits wondering what the heck the Eagles were thinking. And then they blew their 2nd round pick on a (questionable) QB. That's a nice vote of confidence for McNabb. laugh.gif
coma
I have to admit, I used to hate the Cowboys but I think its mainly because I don't like dynasties. Anyway, I like Jerry Jones. Sure, he's very involved with the team from all angles, but he's the owner... I would be too, not just because it is my investment, but because it would be part of the fun in owning a team! What fun is it if all you do is watch the team play and count your money? Okay, maybe a little bit. wink.gif

But like I said, he's a good owner from my point of view. He cares about the team and its fans... he's always made moves that he felt would take the team to the next level (except for the Barry Switzer chokejob). The NFL needs more owners like that, in my opinion.
SMan
Looks like the Pacman is getting hit with felony charges stemming from the February Vegas strip club shooting. I at least thank Pacman for introducing me to the concept of "making it rain" at a strip club. What life must be like to have enough money to be that frivolous with it....

Hard to believe that someone with that much talent could be so incredibly careless and stupid. Goodell should ban him for life and the Titans should try to get as much money back as possible.

And the National Felons League goes on.....

Michael Vick indicted for part in dogfighting.

Biggins, you should edit the thread title to "Vick is the new PacMan".wink.gif

If money is yalls God then Ray Lewis or Chris Mc is my God!
SMan
Overpaid, over-the-hill, athlete millionaires are your god? How sad.
Flipper
PacMan is so irrelevant compared to Ray anyway so whatever- Adam Jones is another thug that we see on J St everyday- nothing more. Ray is the Greatest linebacker of all time- used to think mike Singletary was, but KING RAY proved me wrong.

How soon we forget. Remember when Ray was a chump-azz thug who plead guilty to obstructing justice after members of his posse killed somebody after a Super Bowl bash? On the scale of thuggness, Ray being involved in a murder (even on the periphery) is just as bad, as Pac Man.
Snoopy
Lewis was a thug, but his talent got him a pass.

If Vick is guilty, I hope he sees substantial jail time, loss of endorsements, and then a multi-year suspension from the NFL. I can dream, right?
Flipper
His boys from Bmore did all the killing, All Big Ray and Chris Mc do is smoke weed, otherwise they arent as bad as you 'want' them to be.
SMan
No, Ray Lewis was there and tried to cover for his boys. He got squeezed by the cops and had to snitch. He's a thug not matter how bad you 'want' him not to be. That is all.

COTATI, Calif. -- A three-month-old kitten is fighting for his life after allegedly being set afire by two teenage girls last week.
The male shorthaired kitten, named Adam, received second- and third-degree burns over 75 percent of its body and was being treated at the Animal Hospital in Cotati, located in Northern California's Sonoma County, officials said.
The kitten has undergone two surgeries and had its tail and the tips of its ears amputated.

Two girls have been charged with cruelty to animals in connection with the case. They were arrested last Friday after allegedly pouring flammable liquid on the cat, only 8 weeks old at the time and setting it on fire.
A boy and his friend said they saw the smoke and heard the cat shrieking while the girls laughed.
The girls are being held in Sonoma County's Juvenile Hall. The maximum penalty carried by the charges against them is three years of confinement.

Yesterday we hear of Vick and Co. (allegedly) fighting dogs and brutally killing them, seemingly all of it for their enjoyment and entertainment. Today I see the above. What the hell are people thinking? What kind of a demented person delights and laughs in the deliberate torture and horrible pain inflicted on an animal?

I’m not a PETA supporter. I in no way equate the life of an animal with that of a human, but I’d think someone who could do this would be such a dangerous and demented person that they are also almost equally dangerous to humans as they probably also do not value human life. Therefore, the penalties should approach the penalty as if they had done it to a human.

Am I off base here?
tagout
i think your so right, there should be a heafty fine and some jail time for this, if they would do this to animals they would do it to us.

Yeah yeah just about all blacks are thugs in some way. I actually dont like Ray as a person at all. Im in love with him as a player though and thats what I focus on when it comes to my interest in football- the field, the games.
Flipper
I cant stand mike vick. he hosts interracial swinging parties as well. hes just doing the current popular rich people craze though even though theyll never admit it for fear of being unmoral, lol.
Flipper
Ray was there but what happened was that he and his boyz were macking on some of the local women and getting alot of attention and the local guys who died were jealous because that was their turf and it escalated. I have knowledge about what happened from good bmore sources. The ones who died were probably gonna try to kill Rays boys too or at least hurt them bad.
Snoopy
Way to go Flip, make this a racial thing. No white thugs or animal torturers, right? blink.gif
Flipper
Sure there are many wanna be blacks as far as white thugs go, I didnt mean to make it a racial thing, maybe I should have worded it as athletes instead. Sorry
Heather
Why did I click on this thread. sad.gif

Someone posted a youtube link of the dogfighting over at the org. No way I'm watching it. That would haunt me forever. Some chick over there said she saw porn once that had dogs giving it to crackwhores.

They were discussing this on DC101 awhile back and there were tons of rumors flying about supposed dogfighting and fighter breeding by the rich and famous.

Ugh, my post has just made my stomach go sour.
Flipper
Yes they definitely do have dogs doing things like that in this country and its not just crackhos that have done it, its also older wealthy women into that stuff. I cannot stand pit bulls or dog fighting. Those thugs that walk around town with their pit bulls really think they are important sort of like how they pretend they are talking on their cell phone whenever their in public. They do anything to get attention. You know the types of people Im talking about too. I suppose its another senseless status thing to have a pit bull on J St. or other hood areas.
