Well I been watching the O's all year and they actually have played hard, inspired baseball most of the season. Most of their losses were always by only 1 or 2 runs. Theyve had a great week and a half- swept TB-isnt saying much, won the series with the Yanks and then tonight beat Boston up there. Ya never know we could just make the wild card spot lol. I went to 2 games this year, one in April they beat the Blue Jays and the other on June 10th they lost to the Rockies. I love going to the games on hot Sunday afternoons, its yet another thing I miss about Bmore- I used to be able to walk right down to the game. Theres probably not many sports fans in here but if there are what do you think about how the Orioles have played? On the other hand I cannot wait for Ravens season and then my Mount St. Mary's basketball season. Fall is my favorite time of the year, I am so preoccupied with my sports.

I heard something the other day about the Orioles: they are
the only team this year that have yet to be shut out.
I watched that entire game last night. I can't believe they snuck
out of Fenway last night with that win. I haven't really followed
the O's that much this year until recently. I'm glad the trade
deadline passed and they held on to everyone. I don't know
about the wildcard but playing under Trembley seems to have
somehow relaxed them so far. Speaking about hot Sunday
afternoon ballgames, I'm going to DC Sunday for my FIRST
Nationals game. I've been watching them some lately as well.
They're in a deeper hole than Baltimore but I like the way
they go after everyone each game. We also took my two-year
old to his very first professional ball game a few weeks ago
in Hagerstown. He had a blast. At one point, I took him over
to stand on top of the Suns dugout and out of nowhere, a ball
came rolling to his feet. He was so happy to get his first ball
at his first ball game. Here's a photo of him from that night:

I'm an O's fan of mild intensity, which means that unless the O's are deep in a playoff hunt, I'm done with baseball as soon as pro/college football training camps open. See you in April, O's!

I am usually done with them by now too Sman but I wont be til they go on another big losing streak. I have got to get down to Westminster soon though and start focusing my attention on my blackbirds. I got Ray Lewis and Brian Billicks autograph last year down there. ill probably wear my black Chris McAlister jersey this year.

It was nice to see the O's under the spotlight for a change this past weekend during the Hall of Fame ceremony. Too bad there will never be another baseball player like Cal Ripken again.

As you all know, I'm a diehard Blue Jays fan... we've had odd injuries sidelining Burnett, Chacin, and Halladay throughout the year and Vernon Wells hasn't produced well this year. Alex Rios is having another awesome year, but I'm not sure we'll be able to afford him come contract time.
The O's have done much better this year than I expected. Their pitcher Guthrie is something really special IF they can hold on to him. Bedard has been really solid too. I live in Baltimore Co. now, but I went to more games when I lived back in Wash. Co... funny how that works. I live right down the street from Ravens HQ, but I hate the Ravens.

I think that was one of the game's I attended too. They play again in two weeks in Baltimore if I remember right.
I went to visit there when I was looking for colleges many years ago and I know a couple people who went there, but I don't know much more about the Mount. It seemed to be a nice school.
