About 90 local kids, grades 3 and up, will be performing Norton Juster's The Phantom Tollbooth at the Weinberg Center in Frederick on Saturday, Aug. 11th. There will be 2 shows, at 2pm and 7pm. Tickets are $8 for students (ages 0-15) and seniors (65 and up), and $10 for adults (16-64). They may be ordered through the Weinberg Center Box Office at 301-228-2828.

Please support the arts in our community and the hard work of our students. (Yes, my kid is in the show, but I'm not profiting from posting this, so I hope that's ok with everyone!) The students have been working 9-4 for the last 2 weeks to put together this show, and the score is an original written by a local man named Rob Hovermale.

Only a couple. I forgot to charge the battery rolleyes.gif on the camera! I still need to download them from there. Maybe this weekend. School started today, and I already feel swamped!

Did anyone go to see Taming of the Shrew out at HCC?? I saw Ben Burhman's pic in the paper announcing it. I met him briefly during the Harry Potter release party at the library where he read the first chapter. Seems like an interesting young man.

And has anyone heard what's on the slate for Potomac Playmakers this season??
