What: digital camera about the size of a standard computer mouse (it's very tiny)
When: last Friday night
Where: last seen at Jen's house, realized I was missing it two days later

I've learned over the years that whenever I've lost something it can sometimes be found in the same sneaky little places. I know it sounds absurd for me to ask y'all to help me find something, over the internet, but for example, whenever I lose something I always look in the space between the passenger seat of my car and the door. Stuff gets wedged in there all the time and I don't realize it. Also for example, my cats like to play with all sorts of miscellaneous stuff so I can look under furniture and low to the ground for that stuff. There's always a gold mine in the cushions of the couch too.

But I've already scoured those places and cannot find my camera. sad.gif It's really bumming me out. It was the greatest camera and was used a lot by many people. It's even video-capable.

Jen and I have both been looking for it for a week now and haven't found it. Can you offer any suggestions? It's driving me batty.

You have to figure that obvious places are out because we've both lived for a week in our respective homes and haven't stumbled across it. I have scoured my home, yard and car. I looked behind the microwave, in the washing machine, even in my cabinets! The thing is so little that it could fit in my pocket.

Please help. sad.gif

Check the tops of medicine cabinets, or on a book shelf, or top of the frig.

Anywhere that's up. smile.gif You could have absent mindedly put it up on something while talking on the phone, or just being preoccupied. Good luck!!

Was anyone else there? Could they have it? Purses? Cargo pockets? Were you in anyone elses car? WHEN was the exact last time you remember having it? What pic(s) were you taking? Did you go any where else between Jens and home? Could you have put on your car roof and took off and it's in the yard/ driveway area?

Anyone else there? No.

Checked purses. You know my purse is about as big as Green Eggs and Ham.

I checked pockets, clothes, etc., but at this point, I'm thinking it HAS to be at Jen's because I've SCOURED my house, car, everything. I don't think she's looked as thoroughly as I have. dry.gif

Exact time: I don't know. Jen had it last time. I don't even remember it being at her house that night.

We took pics with the poloroid that night, but not with the digital. Which is a good point because why waste expensive poloroid film when you could just do digital?

Didn't go anywhere between Jen's and home.

I HOPE I DIDN"T PUT IT ON THE ROOF AND DRIVE AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG. sad.gif Jen said she looked in her driveway, yard, porch. I have, again, scoured my yard, driveway, everything!

I think I need to check the Jen estate. dry.gif

I was at Circuit City tonight and saw an interesting little gadget. It was a device for helping you find your expensive items (cameras, ipods, etc.) when you misplaced them. It had these tiny tags that you stick your stuff and when you turn on the little pocket direction finder it guides you to the item. Nothing fancy and the display on the direction finder was no more complex than "you're getting warmer".
Heather
Dad and Sman: thanks for the futuristic viewpoint, as usual.

Oh, SMan,

I gotta get hubby and boys one of those! Does it work for finding lost keys, too??

This puts a twist on, New ways to look for something you lost. By Heather biggrin.gif

First you need to think of where was that last place you had the camera. And start from there.

Usually I just go from room to room. First I start looking under bed, dressers, night stand.
Then I start in my corner of the room work my way around, going clockwise.

More then likely you either left it some where. Or like Greedy said, Maybe it went out with the trash.
Maybe you sat it on top of the car. A camera that small isn't to hard to lose. Actually anything small
isn't hard to lose.

Have you been watching the Heather cam? ph34r.gif

Funny you say that. I asked her if one of her visitors might have taken it and she freaked the hell out on me. Since I've already done what Sweet suggested, (room by room, under and over and in each piece of furniture), and Jen swears she's looked thoroughly, then I thought it would be a legitimate question.

I'm so bummed out. I might as well buy a new one. sad.gif

there ya go! bigger and better! oh, and buy that chip so you can find it next time blink.gif

everything i get into my truck with slides right down between the seat, like some one grabs it and pulls it down, i bend the seat forward and there it is.
SMan
That sucks. You know, buying the new one will ensure that the old one is found just after you pass the return period of the new one. cool.gif

Yay! Found it! Or rather, my ex-boyfriend found it.

He wasn't in the door two minutes and I was asking him if he happened to have borrowed it. I explained it was missing and the first the thing he said was, "did you look under the coach."

Of course I did.

Did you pull the couch away from the wall?

No, I shined the flashlight underneath it and pulled out all the cushions. It's not there.

He pulled the couch away from the wall and there it was. ohmy.gif

The cats pulled away the piece of fabric underneath and it was tucked in between the couch and fabric.

Thanks for your help and suggestions everyone.

Hey Heather, I just got me a nice digital camera & a printer dock to go with it, on E-bay.

You might want to check them out. Mine cost a lot less then what the store's would of charge me. I saved at least $200 bucks. I got the camera, camera case, tripod, memory card, batterys, and a printer dock with paper. It's a Kodak brand, I heard that's a good brand. Not really sure, cause actually this is my first digital camera I ever own.

First I did a search on different site's, to see what they was actually going for brand new. They were a lot higher in price, then what I seen on E-bay. The one I wanted was brand new, so that made a big difference to me. I didn't want something that was already used. Matter of fact, I just received it today. Has the orginal factory seal, so I know it's brand new. Yeppie, I'm happy. smile.gif
