Un- I read alittle of your shouts about stingers. From what I read they were allowed to run with the intention they would install a sprinkler system. The water system wasn't there for it and was cost prohibitive to install. I can't remember where I read that, maybe in the Herald Mail? Here is an article from Funny Money's
forumwritten by John Ambrose with alittle info on what happend with Stingers:

ATTENION ALL LOYAL STINGERS PATRONS
There are a lot of questions and rumors running wild regarding Stinger's and the upcoming KIX show. Hopefully I can answer some of those concerns and questions. Nothing has been posted to date until things were finalized with the KIX show. An event of this magnitude takes time to plan and I am sorry for the delay. I would like to first off thank all of the loyal customers and fans of what I considered the Greatest Concert Venue on the East Coast. I wanted to create a one of a kind venue that had something to offer to everyone. A facility that the entire family could come and enjoy fine dining in a relaxed atmosphere and listen to live music in an amazing setting. My dream had come true when Stinger's opened for business. This took an awful lot of hard work by many friends and family and I am truly sorry to all the great employees and patrons that supported the business. I am sure most of you had read the article posted in the Herald Mail regarding the closing of Stingers. While the article touched on the Fire Marshall issue which ultimately forced the closing of the business, there were other factors that played in the scenario as well. I could no longer fight the "3 headed monster" - Fire Marshall, Landlord and Partner. I am just like most Americans who was pursing his own "American Dream" and unfortunately was "ganged up on", so to speak, and basically out numbered. It is a shame that not only I was affected by this, but you the public and patrons were affected as well. I am the victim as all of you. Everyone that has visited Stinger's witnessed my dedication as well as my family to the business. With that said I would like to touch on the upcoming KIX show. ALL TICKETS BOUGHT THROUGH PAY PAL THROUGH STINGERS WILL BE HONORED. I am now partners with Doug Levine in Total Talent Productions, LLC who will be sponsoring the show and be bringing many more great shows to the area. Some of you know Tim Cave, an amazing friend of mine. Tim and I invested major money and fought side by side for over a year to keep Stinger's alive. Tim utilized his Pay Pal account in the last month and only a small amount of tickets were purchased through his account. Tim has graciously offered to pay Total Talent Productions for those tickets purchased through his account. The majority of the tickets were bought through Allen Hewetts Pay Pal account and he has not returned calls. This account was not my personal account nor was it Stinger's. To show our loyalty and gratitude to all, Total Talent Productions as well as Steve Whiteman and KIX, are honoring all of these tickets. I am looking forward to seeing all of you at the show which is being held at the North American Rod & Gun Club (NARG) in Hagerstown, MD on Saturday, September 22, 2007. "The Blues Vultures" will begin the day, followed by one of Stinger's favorites - "Back n Black" an ACDC phenomenon, before finishing up the day with the one you been waiting for and in my eyes one of the greatest rock bands of all time KIX. I hope this has answered some of your questions and put your minds at ease. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone at the show and presenting to you once again a day of ROCK-N-ROLL that hopefully won't soon be forgotten. Total Talent Productions would like to thank everyone in advance for helping to make this show a great success! SEE EVERYONE AT THE SHOW!!
If you don;t have tickets already, buy your tickets now at Total Talent Productions
Sincerely,
John Ambrose
