Those of you who have experience with roof racks, what brand of roof rack would you recommend?

I believe the only attachments I'd likely use would be a snowboard/ski attachment (95% of time), but I wanted the option to add bike and kayak attachments later on. I'm bidding on a used Thule roof rack on eBay made for my car (BMW), but I was curious if Yakima is better or if there are other alternatives.

I have had the same thule roof racks for over 10 years. About 90% of the haulin' is my canoe. But it has no problem haulin' lumber, pipe and big ladders. All I need is my thule and my swiss army knife...

and my gerber multi-tool

and internet access

and some beer

and my sunglasses

and...

Thanks e-zombie.

I'm hoping I win the bid on eBay for the Thule rack. It would make my car much more convenient for those trips to the slopes, and I could haul more than one other person!
