Thanks froggie. it's always good to know where to get these shots so cheap. what gets me is the fact that they're so much higher at the vet's. blink.gif

I'm really glad you posted this. This saves me a lot of time and trouble. One of my goats has come down with a severe case of rabies and I honestly didn't know where to take him. Finding out about this rabies clinic is a real Godsend. I can finally get him some needed treatment this weekend and it will only cost $7. I thought it was going to cost a lot more to treat his rabies.

I plan on being there right at 9 a.m. so if you see a guy with his rabid goat on a chain, stop over and say "hey".

Plus, if you then let the goat bite you a little, you'll be cured, too!

You're paying for an office visit slot, the vet for the exam and the tech to admin/setup the shot.

Also, info from my vet, for cats at least, stay away from the 3 yr shot and go for the 1 yr shot. Apparently there's some severe health issues that have been discovered with the rabies shot that's given every 3 years.

Be nice folks, and don't make fun of the "close family relationships" you may see! laugh.gif

Honestly folks, if you do come up "on the hill", please take a few minutes to drive around and check out the neighborhood. South Mountain Restoration Center is up there and is a BEAUTIFUL example of the craftsmanship that USED to be common in construction. It's a HUGE, old center that used to be a TB clinic "back in the day". Most of the buildings are now just white elephants, but it's a "can't miss" if you're driving the whole way up to South Moutain. It also has a rich Civil War heritage, so you buffs might get a kick out of it. It's also home to a few extreme mountain biking trails, along with some great fishing and hiking areas.

It's a tad bit difficult to find if you're not familiar with the area, so feel free to contact me if you need the help of "JelseyQuest".

Also, please drive carefully, it's bow season and the deer are running so keep an eye out for them coming up the hill, also, if you're REAL lucky, you might see one of two of our bears and maybe a few coyotes to boot.

Also, if you've got a few bucks laying around, the only store for 10 miles around just boarded up, and the community is without a much needed quickie-shop. I think they want about 200K for it, but if you know how to run a business, it can be a real money-maker. Unfortunatly, the "new" owners bought about 3 years ago from the previous long-time owner and they just didn't know how to run it and make a profit.
