Fess up, who uses the "last click" function at the bottom? I can get on that thing and read for ages. We used to have some HOT threads with great discussions. Maybe there are still good discussions, heated threads and I just skip them? Tell me where? I must also admit that my cheeks get red because I see Heather's Halloween Costume on there all the time and I keep reading it thinking, what the hell is so interesting in there?!?! Did I post some embarrassing pic that's still hanging around? B brought the big drama back in those days though.
I see a lot of traffic on the threads with gossip about council persons. Heathenous gossip mongers!
Do y'all do the last click? Don't fib.

I didn't even realize it was there.
Somebody is checking an old McBean thread and another one is in the Gay Bomb thread.

I do last click all the time. Easy to find interesting topics to read instead of searching. Funny, though, seems like the only ones reading the current threads are the few people that post on here. The guests are usually reading all kinds of topics from the past. Why's zat??
And why do we get all these new members and none of them ever post???

i think, since the spiders crawl through here, sometimes when people search an engine like yahoo, or google, some posts on here come up as results...?? maybe??

Ahhhh, I see.... so maybe all these guests are just an "illusion" and it's only the few of us that rule this site!!

I think cd is right. One time I was searching for an old post of mine to reference in another thread and the HM sight was running very slow so I googled some phrases I remembered and found my post word for word on daily kos.
I use last click all the time. If you watch the google.com spider there are some threads it seems to hit constantly and others it totally ignores. Personally I think there are trigger words it uses kind of like carnivore does.

I thought carnivore (the FBI's version?) was dead?
I took a profiling class at Quantico a couple of years ago, and we had a couple class attendees ask about it. At that time we were told it was costing too much to develop and the prototype wasn't producing what it was expected to produce.

It's just been renamed
DCS1000.
If I'm not mistaken, which as you've pointed out I often am, both carnivore and dcs1000 are themselves trigger words. It's easy enough to find out. Just keep an eye on the spider and see if this page is cached within the next 24 hours.

I confess: I have no idea what this "last click" thing is... so I've obviously never used it.
I pretty much check in with Mail Call and Getting a Little Help From My Friends. If something on the main HM Forum page catches my eye, I might drop in and read it. That's about all I check around here.

I could be.
Here's an FBI report from dec 2003 on carnivore/dcs1000 use. The commercially available software they reference is the dragonware suite, which is nothing more than carnivore and some datamining s/w I think.
Update: I think that's what they're talking about in
this January 2007 story.
