I've got one too!
'Cept mine is over a 100 years old, ivory keys, wooden wheels, weighs about a million pounds.
It "was" a player piano, but we tossed all the roller-thingy's before we realized WTF it was (dumb, dumb, dumb!)
I put it on Freecycle a bunch of times, folks keep truding up the mountain looking at it, but nobody takes it.
I've got $10 to the person who can find a good/bad/on-fire home for the damn thing.
I'd wheel it out and burn it, but I just don't have the heart.
By "roller-thingy" do you mean the music roll? It looks like a roll of paper with holes in it. I might be interested if thats all you threw out. IYO what kind of condition is it in?
Desperate for that $10 reward, huh?
No, I know what the music rolls look like NOW, wish I'd have know BEFORE we put them in the fire!
The roller-thingy's are the wooden balls on the feet that roll it around, NOW pianos have casters, but these are actual wooden BALLS used to roll it from place to place.
As for condition, it's OK. Dark finish, upright style, needs tuned. It's been sitting in the corner of my living room for 10 years, and in the corner of my dining room for about 90 years prior to that (if I can belive the former owner). It's still got it's little bench too. I used to know the name/model #, but I forget. If you're REALLY interested, I'll have the boys pull it away from the wall and I'll write the info down and give it to you next week.
