There's a better way's to tell people that their inviting more business.
There's the local newpapers, t.v. , billboards, internet and so on.

What is the governor thinking? Oh my.

WV is a beauitful state, the slogan should reflex that.

I don't think open for business is that bad. Wild and wonderful is good too. I also remember Virginia is for lovers. I don't know if that was a welcome slogan or not but I liked it.

I do not think Open for Business sounds that wonderful--sounds like the porn show is about to start.

State Slogans

I'm just glad they took down those "You are now entering Maryland. Please drive gently" signs. I know "gently" means in a gentleman (or gentle-lady)-like manner, but it just sounded stupid. I always felt like I should be wearing cotton gloves and touching the steering wheel very delicately.

As for WV, "wild and wonderful" was perfectly good (and had the added bonus of alliteration!). I say, if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

And the sign should be two-tone, primer gray and primer brown!
