With West Virginia playing Maryland in the Gator Bowl in Florida I was wondering if anybody is going to any of the college bowl games. We plan to go down to Jacksonville to see WVU battle it out against Maryland, even though I shocked to find out last night that most of the hotels are already booked.

You know, I'd love to go to that game....and in fact,
we'll be in Tampa that day, but the next day we're
supposed to travel north to South Carolina....knowing
that there aren't any rooms available, I don't want to
drive all the way back to Tampa and then back north
through J-ville the next day...

I would love to be able to go see my Michigan Wolverines play at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA. Unfortunately, I can't afford the plane ticket and cost of a room. Thinking I might start a charity "Send me to Pasadena", by putting jars out in front of cash registers with my mug on the front. If I can't raise the funds I guess I'll just have to resort to the old T.V. GO BLUE!!!!!!!!

We ended up reserving a room by the airport because the ones we looked at downtown were full!

What a performance by Maryland! They completely dominated WVU in every part of the game. Ralph Friedgen is the best thing that has happened to Maryland sports since the coming of Lefty. Lets hope that he is not lured away by Atlanta or Snyder but I think that he has enough sense not to go near Snyder.

Maryland did a fantastic job yesterday! WVU looked tired on the offense and defense all day. But, On a sad note: My Michigan Wolverines choked in the Rose Bowl against the Trojans! Oh well, at least they beat Ohio State this year..

WVU didn't even come out to play! That was the worst bowl game I've ever been to! Then, to top it off, all season-ticket holders for WVU had the worst seats in the game, while the people who called Ticketmaster were treated very well!

Oh how you hate they day when McBrien transferred. If you would have treated him with just a bit of respect your whole program might have been different.

WVU just seems to have trouble with winning bowl games, in fact since we've only won two since 1984! I think our program is decent, but I think our coaching could be a little better.

Pretty sad performance by West Virginia. It was like they didn't want to be there or had been out partying until 5am. Speaking of partying I was in Morgantown this fall on a football weekend and the police actually had advisories on the radio for people to take their couches off of their front porches. I had to laugh. Only in West Virginia would you hear that. Haha.

Like Maryland is soooooo high class! There are parts of Maryland that are far worse than West Virginia, like Cumberland for instance. Most West Virginians aren't a bunch of hillbillies with confederate flags and shot guns, and believe it or not we actually have indoor plumbing! I'd choose to live in West Virginia any day before I'd venture into some places in Maryland. (Extremely mad at ignorant Marylanders)

That's right because Maryland is the best state in the country! That's where all the wealthy live, while we po' people in West Virginia marry our cousins, and dream of what it would be like to have teeth.

Hey Mountain Man! I just heard on the radio that West Virginia has asked Maryland to play two hand touch next year because of the whipping that they got in the two games this year. Maryland hasnt decided yet.

Where would you hear something like that? Besides I remember WVU beating Maryland in basketball. By the way I'm not "Mountain Man," but WVU-Mountaineers.

Mountain whatever! I heard it on some station on the way to work.....something about WVU trying to scale back their schedule because they could not compete with Maryland.

I think the station was probably just joking, although BEFORE the Gator Bowl WVU had already scheduled less games next year than this year.

Actually, Rom, I was thinking more of Indiana. I grew up an hour south of there, so my attending Purdue was almost a sin! However, IU typically blows at football, so then it actually goes to Notre Dame, even though they aren't in conference. Gotta keep it in state!
