Cute pics. I did not get any good ones of mine two. We did go into Keedysville for trick or treating last night. Every one was very nice and their houses were decorated very nice.

Cute pictures, CD. Your kitty has hat envy. :-)

Observation: last night we were driving thru downtown Williamsport during trick-or-treating time. And we noticed a LOT of trick-or-treaters who weren't dressed up in costumes, just walking around in street clothes with bags full of candy. Did anyone else notice more kids not in costume than usual this year? I remember when I was a kid at Halloween, dressing up was as much a part of the fun as the candy we'd get. I loved deciding on a costume then putting it together, or nagging my mom to buy it for me. smile.gif When I see some surly 15-year-old in his droopy jeans, scuffling along with a pillowcase full of candy I kind of wanna run him over, or at least scream something out of my window. Is it just me? It seems lazy to me. You want my damn candy, put on a damn costume, or at least take some of your dad's old clothes and put together a hobo outfit. Geez.

I wish I had an "old curmudgeon" smiley to insert here. Sorry about the rant. blink.gif BTW I wouldn't REALLY run anyone over, so you're all safe, Williamsport. But put on some costumes next year!!!!

i saw plenty of lame boys in a football jersey and jeans... i'm sorry but little white boys should not "dress up" as jamal lewis. bwhahahaha.

one kid was riding around on a bike, down the middle of the sidewalk, almost running over toddlers... he was at least 15... and my husband said "what are you dressed as?" and he said " a bicycle rider" and my husband said " we COULD dress you as a tragic bike accident" and he lifted his foot like he was gonna kick him. the kid totally sped off in a panic. bwahahahahah.

Honest to God, I had an ADULT MALE pull up in a pick up truck, get out, walk up my sidewalk and hold out his hand. I gave him candy and muttered something profane behind my mask as he walked back down the sidewalk and got back in his truck.

No costume (unless you count "hick from hell" as a costume).

No kid in the truck.

No "Trick or Treat" uttered from his mouth.

No "Thanks".

What a moron. Next year I'll have some chocolate-laxative-candy to hand out to the mooch.

Dude, that takes the cake. Maybe he was just really really craving a piece of chocolate? I wonder if some day people like us will reminisce to the children, "I remember back when people dressed up in costumes for Halloween before they went trick-or-treating", and the kids will think "wow, that's so old-fashioned, putting on a costume".

lori seems to think this is a permanent thing. i asked her if she wanted to go for a walk this morning, and she ran to grab her treat bucket. hahaha. <3

I stopped giving treats out at the door on halloween when the older teens started coming to the door dressed in regular clothing.

I think 10 or 11 is the oldest that kids should be to trick or treat.

upload to photobucket, or similar. copy the link they generate, then when you go to post, paste the link in the "insert image" field. its in between the one with the green + sign and the envelope. smile.gif

My subdivision was done at 8:00pm..handed out all my play dough and then hung out with the neighbors finishing our trick or beer...took the ones my DD was walking around with home and on the way back saw some teens out laying down in the street--playing kissy body & huggy face...I put on my high beams and slowed down to make sure I recognized them..so later I can harass them(yes, they live nearby & I know them & their 'dates' and parents). laugh.gif

OK I tried to embed and got this error message: You are not allowed to use that image extension on this board. A valid format is: http://www.domain.com/picture.gif, an invalid format is: http://www.domain.com/picture.one.gif

I give up, I have a crap load of things to get done before my guys have soccer pratice later tonight.

My son went with some friends, he didn't have a costume nor did he want one.
He wasn't suppose to go, because I was working late.

Needless to say, to Teenage boys try to jump him and take his candy.
So I say, NO freaken more. Beside, I already brought him plenty of candy.

If I knew he was going to change his mine, I would have took him down to
Frederick. At least the area where I took him before was a lot nicer.

Think next year, I'll just have a nice safe Halloween Party at my house.
And invite a few of the neighborhood children & parents.
