I know you all probably remembered to change your clocks, but don't forget to change your smoke detector batteries, too! Even "wired" smoke detectors have a battery backup (in case the wiring goes bad or the fire eats through the wire).

As many as 50% of homes in the U.S. have dead smoke detector batteries. Change them whenever you "change" your clocks so they're always in good working order.
